But I guess if you make something bad you should make something terrible and horrid after so people look back at the bad stuff fondly.

It's all been downhill from there with only brief hopes of promise which were quickly shattered.

Wow this chapter was quite bad.
Am I the only one that can't really follow along with bleach anymore? On one hand bleach sometimes goes at a snail pace (full page smoke every other page), then you have it go light speed of unexplained shit. If you just look at the last chapter 477 from page 10 to 17...
+ Show Spoiler + we have ginjo's cliche "ending", abundance of sentamental crap that took 2 full chapters prior (fine), then tsushima jumps out of no where to abush ichigo (fine again), rukia jumps out of no where to seemingly save ichigo (ok, she was supposed to be barricaded outside this "zone"?), but nope it was actually the enemy rurika who jumps out of nowhere infront of rukia to save ichigo? (long explaination of why she jumps out is gonna come right?) she then mumbles abotu how tsushima didn't use the special sword (or was it not the special sword, either way there was no talk of tsushima having 2 swords what so ever) so she is gonna die? They then both go emo about not being able to save ginjo (Who was well and alive "2sec" ago with no mention of him dying prior to this chapter), but it was ichigo who saved ginjo (then why the fuck are you tormenting him... is ginjo really alive or is this all alternate dimension bullshit?) Ok fine f ing shit, we end with the cliff hanger 1 panel of a small flash back about tsushima and ginjo foreshadowing some flash back next chapter right? Nope! next chapter comes, everyone is magically teleported away from the fight, the actual teleportation is skipped over; rurika is alive, people are crying (why?), no mention of flash back, and the rest of the chapter is pointless big panels of trees and filler talk. Where is the transition? if your going to make up a story, tell the f**king story kubo!! end rant

One thing I don't get is why people say it went down since ss arc. I really liked when they were in hueco mundo. The battles were pretty damn good. Not to mention it gave us some pretty cool villains (ulquiora, stark, old time guy). In fact, I even liked the short bout between ichigo and gin. And ichigo vs ulquiora, despite getting a power-up which would never be explained or seen again, was pretty awesome too.

Uhh, by universe i mean... things making sense in a logical manner. After SS... nothing made sense anymore. I think... but i agree with you! it would be nice if things made sense and were logical, but at least the battles were cool

I certainly agree that Bleach should have simply ended after the Soul Society arc. The main problem, in my opinion, with Hueco Mundo is that it was ridiculously long. By the time Ichigo fought Aizen, I had completely forgotten about all of the other arrancars that had been fought previously, which had occupied many many chapters, and really, the plot was no longer interesting.
Of course, there are also numerous things wrong with the plot in general. During the entire fight with Aizen I kept desperately waiting for Aizen to use his bankai, but he never did. Also, Aizen's power is ridiculously broken, yet for some reason he doesn't utilize it fully. Aizen went through probably around five transformations during the fight as well, making his transformations seem insignificant and even silly.
The power levels in Bleach make no sense at all, and show clear indication that Tite Kubo did not plan very far ahead when writing. When Ichigo first entered Soul Society, he defeated Kenpachi with only his shikai. Afterwards, Ichigo defeated Byakuya using primarily only his bankai, with a little help from, but no control over, his hollow mask. Fast forward to Hueco Mundo. Ichigo, using his hollow mask, is barely able to defeat Grimmjow, who is the sixth espada, and would have been defeated by Ulquiorra, who is the fourth espada, had Ichigo not had his weird transformation, which this series seems to be full of. Strangely enough, Byakuya and Kenpachi are easily able to defeat the zeroth espada. In order to do this, Byakuya and Kenpachi must’ve become dramatically stronger, and as of the time when Ichigo first defeated Byakuya and Kenpachi in Soul Society they were already considered to among the strongest captains, meaning that the remaining captains now must be ridiculously weak unless they all had the same godlike improvement in power that Byakuya and Kenpachi had.
This is only the start of a long list of complaints I have with Bleach. I really think Bleach would’ve gone down as one of the greatest manga series had it simply ended after Soul Society, instead of existing as the tragedy that it is now. The current arc is only a marginal improvement from the previous arc.
Also, what happened to the Royal Key? Tite Kubo seems to have forgotten about it.

bleach was one of my first manga, so I can still remember stuff decently well, prepare for a long rant:
there were several good things about the ss arc: -still a clear/coherent storyline -a nice twist (aizen) -some epic fights -dark element (hollow) -power levels seem to make sense
I also liked pre-ss: more non-superficial interactions between the characters, ichigo's mom and grand fisher etc, and hollows actually seemed like real threats
I also believe the characters were richer back then, ichigo had more personality (nowadays he's a mindless shell that charges in, getting confused and angry or w/e), rukia's tragic backstory, etc...
at the conclusion of the ss arc, I think most readers (including me) had high hopes for the future. What happened?
Well ss arc ends and there is now all this fuss about hollows, and Aizen raising the espada army. So I think the arc started out alright, interesting stuff with grimjow and ulquiorra for example. There is also this aspect about Orihime having god-like powers.
Well what happens? We get a ton of random battles between several characters (a sign of what's to come) lasting for well over a hundred chapters. The feared espada start getting picked off by soul society captains? Wtf? In the midst of the constant pointless fighting, characters have less time and become reduced to caricatures. Random plot elements not explained (what happened to Nell?). Oh right, ichigo becomes an emo retard sometime here.
Actually, from the time ss ended to when aizen arc ended, there were just constant pointless battles. Random buildup resulting in nothing. Finally in the aizen arc, we get random transformations, ichigo gets a random powerup, his dad and urahara come in and do random trolling. O ya, what happened to orihime? O ya, chad and ishida become useless.
So end of ss to end of aizen is characterized by plot becoming weaker and simply many many battles with little motivation or development. However, there were some cool fights. It became much more about "fanservice:" showing off random characters 5 chapters of useless battle at a time. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy action but not at the cost of the story degrading to shit.
And then the fullbring arc. I don't think I have to say anything about that.
Kubo expanded his cast of characters too much and tried to provide fanservice for every single one. This destroyed any chance of a coherent plot and destroyed any potential for real character development. It seems that at some point, Kubo realized this and was just like "fuck it" and stopped trying. He even admitted in some interview that he doesn't plan the story more than a chapters in advance anymore...
Currently, naruto, although not great, is MUCH better than bleach.
However, I still get entertainment out of bleach and take 1 minute to read it a week and laugh at how bad it is. Also, I'll admit I want to see the spirit king (he better not be Ichigo's "real dad" or some shit whoops he probably is...)

I guess I understand what you mean. The SS arc was the height, and that decrease in quality was large, especially given the beginning of the aizen arc. And the introduction of cool characters only to be discarded was annoying (Chad, Orihime, Nel). Probably the biggest disappointment was the lack of Bankais. The visard had 1 used bankai. I can understand Aizen having no Bankai, because his shikai was already retarded. It would be like Tsukichima getting sword power-up.

New chapter out!!! + Show Spoiler +I wouldn't exactly call this bad, but it just moves so slowly. I feel like stuff happened, but it could have easily been done with like four pages instead of 15 or so.

I think this whole arc could have been omitted. + Show Spoiler + From the way it ended it seems like Xcution will nor appear or maybe even be mentioned again and just served to give Ichigo back his powers. Also, hopefully after this 3 week break the story actually picks up but I've been saying that since the Hueco Mundo arc T.T

Well at least we know who takes the three missing captain roles. Hirako, Kensei and Rose.

I thought Ikakku was a captain, when the came from Soul Society in the last Arc it looked like it to me. But I might of been confused.

Seems like a deliberate, but rather peaceful defiance.
