That would be kenpachi. Although it was never very visible, it was hinted that he actually thinks while fighting about what he is doing. The "retard" vibe from Ichigo comes from him having only getsuga tenshou to use. That and his retarded, twisted and warped sense of rightiousness while fighting opponents. He's very straight forward, outgoing and naive to the point of making most people sick. | ||

This is true for a lot of Japanese anime/manga: Goku, Natsu | ||

Hes the only one in the entire anime that was shown thinking a fight through (fight with the blind black guy).  | ||

Naruto and Goku are the true "dumbasses" who just happen to be retardedly smart and good when it comes to combat / technique use. Well mostly they got their lives spent being called dumb because of their naive carefree innocent behaviour but then surpassed the worlds expectations by being gosu as fuck. On that note, any watch DB Kai? The goku vs freiza fight has been amazing i thought. It watches A LOT different than DBZ and the small subtle added details make it fucking phenominal imo.
