I can accept this. It isn't a flashback to before the manga started, about 2 characters we hardly care about and the history of their godamn fist-bump. Ichigo gets his ass kicked the way we've wanted him to for a while, then goes super-saiyen in the traditional Bleach fashion. (This also happened in everyone's beloved Save-Rukia arc, the difference being which Damsel was in distress, and how real the threat to them was.) Like... really I think it is time to go back and re-read through that whole arc, because I'm starting to think nostalgia and/or people's self-defense mechanisms are demanding that Bleach had to be amazing at some point, but complain about over-use of cliches... like... lets say a damsel in distress in a giant tower? Because from where I'm sitting that, and length is basically the difference between this chapter and that arc. Now while you all rage at me, I'll go read the Rukia arc. | ||
