8/10 Awesome movie. Totally goes to show how unforgiving this task can truly be and touches on the fact that too many people are climbing it at once with not every safety precaution being taken. Also goes to show how much ones pride will kill them and the people around them.

Speaking of that, I've been on a bad/campy/throwback horror kick, much to my surprise I came across Jennifer Aniston in Leprechaun. Warwick Davis played the Leprechaun too, I love finding people when they were really just starting out.

Kinda meh. Drags on too much, nothing really new or innovative in it. A story you've seen a thousand times before. Has some good music in it. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation OK action movie. Liked Ghost Protocol more. Bike chase scene alone is worth watching it for though, amazing. Southpaw Not sure if I mentioned it already or not. Amazing movie. My respect for Jake went up a lot after learning that he's actually trained boxing 6hrs/day every day for 5 months to prepare himself for it (fights were choreographed but weren't faked). 50cent annoyed the hell out of me though (does anyone understand what the guy's saying?).

As someone who rarely goes out to watch movies, I was glad I came out to this one. My friends and I were afraid it would be another "Interstellar" (we didnt enjoy that movie), but this movie was really fun and enjoyable. I would highly recommend you to see it if youre still on the fence about it. One thing I still cant figure out is: + Show Spoiler + when his crops got destroyed the first time, why didnt he just recultivate the soil with his new shit again?

When i saw the cast(Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett etc.) i thought this was going to be a really good movie but i guess it was too "artsy" for me. Basically there was no plot, character development or any memorable dialogue or monologue. There was however beatiful shots of nature and women. It felt more like a 2 hour commercial than a movie.

I guess that makes sense then. + Show Spoiler + I just flipped through the book, that was the explanation he gave there, "Potatoes are now extinct on Mars," was the quote but yeah the basically the cold would have killed the potatoes, and the bacteria he shat in the soil.

??? This is a very...odd movie in ways I didn't anticipate. Not aggressively weird, but tonally and structurally it's not like many movies I've ever seen. I don't quite "get it" the way I understood The Master on the first try. Maybe I need to watch Computer Chess to familiarize myself with Bujalski. You missed the part that really mattered: directed by Terrence Malick. Should've expected it really. ![]()

Recent viewing: Alfonso Cuarón, Children of Men, 2006 Still such a great film. The technical artistry in the photography, design, and editing is incredible, yet so transparent in service of the story.

I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about southpaw, but I've also seen a few positives. Most of those positives tend to be of respect for him for his dedication to the role rather than the acting or writing though. My personal feeling was it looked like a really shitty cliched boxing film, but maybe I will watch it. I am seeing black mass this weekend wooo

Impressive performance by Jake but it's wasted on a shitty script/story. I got excited by the trailer (I like generic boxing movies) but it was really sub-par, especially the ending (several plot lines just weren't addressed at all).
