I've always heard nice things about Lost In Translation, but never seen it up to now. To me it kind of seemed different than your usual movie. It's definately a very good movie that can make you think. The pacing and way it was filmed help that a lot and it has it's own distinct charm. I remember watching this with my Dad and two Sisters and them awkwardly complaining about how boring the movie was at the end. I say "awkwardly" because they had heard the hype and they knew this movie was supposed to be some great thing, but they all were bored to death by it- and no one wanted to sound dumb by being the one who "didn't get it".Well, I "got it"- or at least I wasn't bored. It was one of the most beautiful and moving movies I've ever seen. It perfectly captured the way I was feeling (and still feel)- a little lost. Bill Murray manages to be charming and touching without being a goofball. Man, that movie was great.

It's first and foremost the mood of the film, the pacing, the lovable characters. It makes you smile instead of laugh, and if you cry at the end, you cry happily. Also, it has Scarlett Johansson before she got all made up. I don't really know what happened to her, but she started looking more and more plastic after that movie.

I liked the concept behind the hunger games, and LOVE gladiator, but heard weird things about battle royal. Anyone suggest? I recommend you go to a 2 hour world is flat meeting instead and try to argue to a group of people that the world is not flat. The frustration should be similar.

I personally preferred black swan because it was about the pursuit of perfection and the willingness to do anything to achieve it. So uhm.. don't do drugs mmkay? I think the movie would have been better if I'd seen it in a theater or at least in front of a big screen TV with friends. It's emotionally stimulating just like Black Swan. I alt tabbed too frequently to get the full effect. I'm not sure if this is a main point of the movie but + Show Spoiler + The reality that the mother made up in her mind, it seemed like she was happy. Maybe we shouldn't judge and say that her life was any worse than ours because she was truly happy. Make no mistake I don't want to live like anyone in that movie. I like my arm tyvm. On the topic of addictions. They consume you. Sometimes churches say that addictions control you; that they make you do things that aren't you. But after a while the addiction becomes a part of you and you can't separate yourself from the addiction. I love the soundtrack Death is the Road to Awe by Clint Mansell. I remember first hearing it a year ago and just closing my eyes every time it came on in my playlist. i loved both of them, they're both really different though.. try watching it on a tv instead of a computer maybe

The song from Requiem for a Dream is called Lux Aeterna I think.

![]() Sooo terrible. I watched it on an international flight. I should have known to switch movies when the intro had a man talking on his cell on a plane and gives the flight attendant a speech about how he doubts it's going to affect the navigation. Fuuuck. Shit movie throughout - basically the aliens that invade Earth are INVISIBLE. So the movie makers were too fucking lazy to actually make aliens for this movie and all you see are five spoiled Americans running around in Russia trying to avoid the aliens, which you can't see. I wouldn't say it's worse than The Blair Witch Project as the camera and lighting is better but why the fuck did I sit through this bullshit.

not really a movie for me i guess, kinda pointless overblown korean revenge-movie, but i have to acknowledge it got pretty good actors (for korean standards) and good production values, so i guess if you like that kind of movie you should see it. to me it seems this kind of korean movie are just trying to out-do each other in terms of violence, not really what im looking for in a movie i also made the big mistake of re-watching the matrix trilogy yesterday, thinking that maybe ive missed something and forgetting how awful they were. matrix reloaded really has to be the worst sequel ever made, i have no idea how the wachowski idiots pulled off making such a good movie the first time around. i find matrix revolutions to be less terrible, but thats not saying much considering just how bad reloaded is

![]() I recently watched some old movies and I digged out this jewel. After "The Grudge" and "The Grudge 2" Sam Raimi produced this masterpiece. Please don´t take this movie serious, otherwise it wouldn´t be entertaining. And you should have a strong gut because there are quite some disgusting scenes in it.

![]() Just loved it, though i cannot really descrive why. I found the acting to be superb, Michael Sheen does an amazing job (Oscar material imho) and it's one of Samuel L. Jacksons better performances. The ending might seem a bit sketchy, though i had no problem with it. Eastern Promises 6.5/10 ![]() After reading a couple of reviews i was expecting a lot. It did not really disappoint me, but i was expecting a bit more. The acting is very good, but i disagree with people demanding an oscar for Viggo Mortensen. The violence shown is tough, beware if you got problems with that. A History of Violence 9.0/10 ![]() Masterpiece. Unreal good acting by Mortensen in this one!

Total waste of lot of time, was dissapointed too. Many flaws in this movie. Highlight for me is the Police in this film. Its ineffectivnes was on one of the most ridiculous levels i've seen in this type of movies.

![]() Holy shit, this film was so funny. Some really good acting to be found as well. It's like a cheesy b-film on steroids. Highly recommended to see with mates. Also, NAZIS IN SPACE.
