I really expect to see Bran just controlling Hodor a bunch though to give himself more control. It would make a lot more sense as to why they've kept Hodor around from a story pov.

So we now have 5 seasons of at least 10 minutes per episode on average, of one person that is completely unrelated to anything else. Think of how many more relevant to Westeros characters they could have inserted in that time they devoted to a thing that might pan out in 5 years. Because she's a more important character to the overall story even if she seems far removed that doesn't mean they get to simply ignore her. The show can't possibly fit in everything that happens in the books, there's simply too much going on. They have to give Dany her due screen time. They cut characters and details out of her story as well just the same as they do with everyone else. Point is, she's an important part of the story. They can't simply ignore her.

![]() His face reminds me of old Bilbo when he asks to see the ring one last time and then freaks out ![]() (he gets halfway there) Enjoyed this episode, ending was a bit underwhelming but overall nice end to the series. I felt that this is the halfway point in the book as opposed to the conclusion of a book as per the previous seasons really stood out, in a way it felt right that the ending was underwhelming; because it's not really the "ending" of this particular segment of the story, unlike S1 and S2. I think it did a great job of touching base with a lot of the storylines without giving much away, John is shot and returns to safety, but then what? Jamie returns and is reunited with Cersei, but then what? We didn't really get to see her reaction or Tywin seeing Jamie again or anything. Just two of numerous examples that spring to mind... To me this episode lays the foundation for things to kick off really hard in S4, so I'm happy with it.

These people were just disgracing her mother and brother, and bragging about how he helped pin Grey Wind's head to Robs. The second I heard them talking, and definitely when she jumped off the horse, I knew she was going to kill them. And then she started begging them for food and heat in a little girl voice even though she was fine in those regards... idk just seemed really obvious. It was epic, but not surprising imo.

She's always going on about the power of light, fire, and the terrors in the night. North of the wall is cold and terror. Taking this as a maximum priority for her faith and for all men is reasonable. The scene, however, was pretty weak.

If she keeps freeing cities, she is going to get bogged down with governance and protection duties and become too busy to leave. Now that she's done two slaver's bay cities considering their size, she will have to leave behind capable magistrates and maestres. Really pillaging the wealthy and taking their money would have been easier.

((I mean the end of season 2 with the 3 howls give me chills all over my body. And now this one just started slow, and in the end I found it rather dull. They wanted to make it a big deal by killing a lot of important characters, but that was way too much imo. Not sure I'll have the patience to watch the next season :/

I don't see the confusion tbh yeah I agree, I think what would have been better if we had seen something in the flames as well, kinda Lord of the Rings style where they look into the magic ball. Then see would see soldies fighting against the walkers or something, with flames in the background or something epic ^^ haha. Then everyone sees that milsa is serious about it, and ya. Would have been a better ending imho.

The real problem is that Storm of Swords is really really long and it creates a problem when producers want to end the season right now. A third season with a few more episodes would have been nice even if it means that Rains of Castemere gets put in the middle of the season.

It would have been awful as a cliffhanger. The kind of thing people HATE with TV shows, where they milk the whole "next season!" crap. You have to hit a climax, then some sort of decline to keep people from getting hooked on gimmicks instead of the entire story line(s).

They been doing a start/end with ice/fire theme so far, S1 started with ice, ended with fire, S2 started with fire, ended with ice, S3 started with ice and ended with fire. It as such it was inevitable that Dany would get the last scene in S3 (and the first in S4!)

Also I was never quite sure why Stannis is the only one that seems to respond to the requests from the wall.
