Episode was Ok, More of just a forshadowing of next season. Hopefully it doesnt take forever again. I think she did him a favor, that way he looks like he fought the Wildlings instead of looking like a deserter. Pretty sure she is a good enough shot to have been able to put that arrow in his forehead if she wanted to. Yeah, I don't think it's a coincidence that she managed to hit 3 straight non-vital spots on a moving target. Poor girl... Except he didnt need to pretend he wasnt helping the wildlings, given he could casually explain everything that happened and where the raiders are. He would be believed. If she shot him in non vital areas its because she liked him too much to kill him, but not enough to not try. Oh sorry, I didn't think she cared how the Night's Watch would react to him. I just mean that she *should* have and *could* have killed him, but just couldn't bring herself to do it. I was just pointing out that her marksmanship is clearly very good given her shot selection.
Given the medicinal skills in this setting those shots are likely to be kill shots at a later time anyway. He has to ride a long way and infection would set it resulting in amputation or death. Whether she "meant" to kill him or not she still fucking shot him. With someone as evidently experienced in the ways of killing as her, she has to know the likelihood of him living after that is pretty small. Especially the one in the thigh. Realistically, he wouldn't walk right ever again even if they manage to get him medical attention fast enough.

I don't care about any of these characters, bar 2 or 3. Have you been watching the entire time and just now figured this out or did you just dive in for the first time and are surprised that you don't care about any character because you know nothing Gahlo. A bit harsh, don't you think?
I watched the series so far in the past week. I don't find myself drawn to any of characters.

the "you know nothing Gah-lo" was probably a lighthearted reference to "you know nothing John Snow" who knows

I really hope that guy who said "he wouldn't walk right ever again" is not a book reader.

Guess you didn't get the joke (YOU KNOW NOTHING JON SNOW) wasn't meant to be mean at all man
Though seriously, we've been learning about these characters for 3seasons now. You can't just jump in and expect to feel for them. You don't know their back stories or anything about them really lol. I wouldn't feel attached if I only saw 1 episode either.

Arya the master assassin soon... and now its time to wait another 9 months for the next season
|
I think he meant to say that he watched the entire show in the past week.
Anyhow, I can see how some people can't connect to the characters in the show. If I hadn't read the books, I might have been one of them myself actually. The show swings back and forth between like 30 relevant characters, and almost none of them (in fact literally none of them) get nearly as much attention and screentime as protagonists normally get in TV shows, even ones with an ensemble cast.

I don't want to wait
I dislike that nothing really happened in the finale. They should have focused on a few characters and had stuff accomplished instead of jumping around and just basically having people learn that the Starks were dead.

Yara setting out to save Theon seemed pretty cliche, and I'm surprised her father let her take those forces, but meh, I think Theon's had enough shit to deal with. I feel like that torturer dude should have just sent a finger or something though if they wanted Balon to back off. Like he said, he has no more use for a dick-less Theon now, so he kind of shot himself in the foot there.

"the black fish escaped" somehow that's going to come back and against them.
there was so many great dialogue scenes. i'm happy for the iron island chick to go wreck some shit. she's awesome
jon snow being probably killed. (that scene was emotional and great)
then a jamie lannister returns, and a stormborn queen gets more OP(i was kind rooting for the mob to murder her, just to see how the leadership/unsullied dealt with such a confusing issue)
great episode. so many different and varying scenes. all rewatchable

One could also argue that a bunch of core characters dying would be even more devastating to the plot (and also boring once it's overdone and becomes the norm).
|
Let me just suggest that none of you quit your dayjobs and start practicing medicine.
1) What leads you to believe any major arteries were hit? 2) Why should the arrow in his thigh render him unable to walk ever after (and please come up with something better than a Skyrim reference)?

I loved the Tywin vs Joffrey scene, best scene in the ep10 by far

Hearing Bran tell that story of the king and the cook made me really happy. Now we know that the series/book acknowledges that Walder Frey is on the shitlist of the gods. Hopefully he gets fucked over sooner than later.
9 months to go......

I could watch Arya and The Hound riding around Westeros, slaughtering Frey men forever. They're just so awesome, badass, and entertaining together.
Just butchered 3 men? Time to sit down and eat their meal!
