Which is ironic. Also, by all means, start reading the books. Then you can join us in the *spoilers* thread as we trade tinfoil/crackpot theories cooked up over almost two decades of waiting. | ||

Arya goes buck-nutty on a Frey soldier's head. The boy is finally revealed as Bolton's bastard, Ramsey Snow. Yara gets her brother's penis in a box and goes to make war on Ramsey Stannis and his army are heading to the Wall. But people on this site are actually saying the episode was meh and they needed better cliffhangers? Man you people are spoiled. What's better than Stannis getting ready to head to the wall and possibly meeting up against Mance Rayder's wildling army? | ||

I'd argue that Blackwater was the show's finest episode, yet I get your point kinda. The Red Wedding was the shows best twist. Still, the show would be silly if it had a major twist every episode. There was some serious character development in that episode. Where are Arya and the Hound going to go? How will Jaime deal with seeing Cercei again? Will there be a love triangle developing between the two and Brienne? What's in store for Reek? Will Yara rescue him from the Dreadfort with only 50 men? Stannis and Mance Rayder are both marching on the Wall. What the hell is going to happen there, especially with a leaderless Knight's Watch? What is the Tyrell's game? What is Varys's? What is Littlefinger up to in the Eyre? Find out in 9 months!! The slight letdown, if there is one might have to do with how they produced the show. Season 1 was book 1. Season 2 was book 2, Season 3 is only about 1/2 of book 3, so there's a bit of clunkyness there. If you view Season 4 as a continuation of season 3 instead of a completely new season, I'm sure you'll get the payoff you're looking for. | ||
