The Dothraki have an army of 100k loyal and feirce warriors on horses. Robert Baratheon even said that if they came to Westeroes the combined arms of the kingdom wouldn't stand a chance in an open feild. So they hide behind walls and the dothraki starve them out.

100k was the entire Khalasar, the fighters were about 40k. Even if they magically got the entire 40k across the sea at the same time without losing a ship and were able to land at the same place, that still just 40k horsemen. The Reach and part of the Stormlands fielded 100k fighters for Renly, 20k a piece for the Starks/Lannisters, unknown for the Riverlands since they were essentially surprise attacked, unknown for the Vale and Dorne as well. Against the 100k Dothraki fighters Robert thought had they might have had trouble, against 40k (again, if they even all made it) I think they'd have had them put down pretty easily.

True, but the age old counter argument is of those 100k fighters, the vast majority are men-at-arms who would be lucky to have a sword and some real armor, much less a horse. Every Dothraki fighter is a seasoned warrior on a mount.

Interesting, but I think one of the main problems with it is that Illyrio really seems like a true believer, what with his keeping Dany and Viserys in a mansion and his giving her the eggs and conspiring on the invasion. If this truly is what Varys is doing, then he must be just using Illyrio, which is of course possible.
Another thing I find dubious about any theory where Varys wanted the assassination to work is that in the conspiracy scene he specifically claims that Drogo would not attack until Dany bore him a son, which of course had not happened at the time of the attempt on her life.

I was thinking that maybe Varys is aware of the possible threath from the White Walkers and wanted the Tyrgaren to come back to face them using their new dragons. But then I noticed that he had no way of knowing that Dany would be able to revive them...
Truly a hard mistery to crack, that man.

The only thing worse than a rampaging Ultralisk is an irradiated rampaging Ultralisk...
Fire cannot hurt a dragon, so you'd basically just have a dragon, doing it's normal killing, except now it has an extra AoE attack XD
