The for is in the sentence because it is being used different than how it usual is. When they say "for the night is dark and full of terrors" they are saying "because the night is dark and full of terrors". They are not simply stating that "the night is dark and full of terrors", more is being said.

Can't someone like, invent a time machine go 10 years into the future and come back with all game of thrones seasons in green-d (new super format which will be invented, better than bluray) I feel like a kid on christmas eve every sunday!

That would be absolute torture if you don't own a green-d player from the future.
Why is it that all the male Lannisters (excluding Joff) are so cool but if you think on it really not nice guys? Between them they have led / ordered armies to pillage/rape/kill/torture innocent people, ordered deaths of children, done some incest, gone off with numerous whores, killed the king and are planning to use wildfire (something like napalm?) to burn any man trying to take over King's Landing. Missed anything?
How has Ros ended up in every major situation in King's Landing? She's like the only whore in Westeros. Shae is a terrible actress, poor Dinklage as to have scenes with her =(
Also, the TV version of Roose Bolton is kind of like a nice uncle.
For anyone feeling like there was a lack of action, I think they are just setting the stage for the last two episodes of the season.
With Jon and the wildlings, the nights watch at the fist of the first men, the siege of kings landing, the house of the undying, and winterfell, I think we're in for two crazy episodes. The wait until season 3 is going to hurt so much.
PS: I have hetero love for stannis. They are nailing his character so well.

I actually liked how they tied her in as the fake whore. Was kinda clever

Hopefully, they'll compensate in the next episode.
If not, then by the time they need to pay off their debt of Imp and boob time, the only way they can is an hour-long porno starring Tyrion. *shudders*
They paid off their Imp and boob time debt quite well in this episode. Tyrion had a good number of nice lines, and his moment with Shae was quite touching considering how he likes to blow off everything with wit and cunning. And Talisa is cuuuute, and hot. The moment I saw her walk into the tent with that dress, I knew there would be some shenanigans about. And those were some hot shenanigans.
Robb's girl spent way too much time telling her life story before they fucked.
Jon learned his scouting party was killed apart from the leader.
Stark boys aren't dead, though no one should be surprised at that. Theon actually buying the farm boys is kind of surprising though, and the fact that his sister disagrees with him capturing Winterfell is also a bit of a surprise.
God dammit Cateyln.
Let the adventures of Jaime and Brienne begin!
Interesting to see if Tywin's attack plan works vs Robb.
Cersei caught the wrong whore lol.
Tyrion showed he really does care for Shae, but I think that was already assumed since he brought her with him and hid her there. He also learned about Dany and her dragons.
Stannis talked a bit, but not much new learned.
Arya and company escape.
Dany did nothing.
Not one of the best episodes, but it does set us up for a lot of things happening next week.

I think Stannis will capture it, with a decent amount of causalities from Tyrion's planning and wildfire. Not sure if any of the lannisters will die though. Cersei will run for sure, Tyrion will probably run once he knows it's a lost cause, and Jofferey will probably end up hiding like a bitch shortly after the fight starts (or once he gets a small wound) and will either escape or get capture and be executed by Stannis. I don't see anyone important on Stannis' side dying.

There's definitely a lot of action that's being set up. I'm excited.
- Jon's meeting with Mance Rayder (and what Mance will want Jon to do to prove his "loyalty"). - Tywin's army vs Robb's army (?) - Stannis' assualt on King's Landing - Dany enters the House of the Undying - Bolton's bastard engages the Ironborn at Winterfell (will they submit or fight?)
And, of less importance:
- Arya and friends' escape. Where will they go? - Brienne and Jaime's journey south.
