Yay for more Sansa/Sandor and Tywin/Arya. Also, is that Shae who's pulling the knife?

Well since Arya figured out there was a spy (From the letter on Tywins table) And she was helping Lannister soldiers in the first scene and now that I think about it no one knows where she is actually from or who she is she could be a Lannister spy... She could even be a Lannister cousin

Catelyn I can't stand. Sansa I hate. Baelish makes me sick, but in "wow I can't believe that just happened" way, not an "this displeases me" way. I love the Hound, such an interesting character. Joffrey is a little one dimensional - spoiled, sadistic, and stupid. Theon I can tolerate, he makes sense to me, and his pretty damn good. Hodor is Hodor (whatever that means). I've said it before though, Daenarys is an AWESOME character in the books right now, but so much of her story is an emotional struggle that you just can't tell so well in the show. I really wish that they could do her better justice.
Well, without discussing the books, either the actress or the script is not catching Daenarys. Why can't you stand Catelyn, is it the actress or just the part she plays in the story at this point? I think she plays the role pretty much perfectly.
Should have clarified. Every feeling i have is about the characters and what they're doing, I'm not picky about acting at all.

Guy behind her, guy in front of her, people rioting and raping nobles on her left ... not like she had that much of a choice.
I loved that episode too but I'm starting to wander if things aren't going a bit too fast since the last 2?
(Episode ends with shadow shit being born - Episode begins with shadow shit killing one of the potential Kings... ) (Episode ends with Bran sending reinforcement to the nearby fort Theon is sieging - Episode begins with Theon taking Winterfell ...) (Will the dragons be big/old enough to free themselves by the beginning of the next episode?)

Not to mention that in that mob I'm not sure if it would have mattered if she ran into the street. They probably still would have raped her except other people could have joined in as they ran by.
And to be fair, they need to move a little quicker. They spent the first 5 episodes setting up some of the newer characters like Stannis and Melisandre and trying to move each story a little bit further every episode. They only have 4 more episodes to reach a climax. This is exactly where it started heating up in S1 as well.
Theon is not a dick, he is just placed in a very difficult situation which snowballed him to where he is now. Think about it, he gets sent home for the first time in 10 years and his family all treat him like a Stark (Greyjoy enemy) and he is forced into a choice. Side with Robb (the only Stark he feels affection for) and attempt to escape back to him or try to claim his right as heir to the throne and prove his loyalty. He sticks with his family, even though his inner turmoil is clear to see. Then on his first command Dagmer tells him it is a test and to prove himself he targets the biggest prize he could take. As for Rodrick, even after he spat in his face he didnt want to kill him but again is forced down that path. The guy is not a dick he is just a guy trying to find his way but his path wont be much longer unless his sister helps him and based on her rivalry with him it looks doubtful.
There seems to have been a drastic drop off in quality this season. The first two episodes were amazing, and then there's been a steady a decline. The editing/pacing in this week's episode was horrible. I'm pretty sure it's all down to the directors of the episodes though.. the first two episodes had the same director (Alan Taylor, who's directing Thor 2, so he's obviously an up-and-comer), while the last two, which I think were the worst so far this season also had the same director (David Nutter)

Actually, David Nutter directed this episode and the next one ... previous one was another David guy ^^ But don't worry too much, Alan Taylor is coming back.

He seemed to like Bran just fine. He was a bit rude, but you can attribute that to one of his soldiers being in the room with him. After the solider left he sat down beside Bran and explained that he should surrender. He also refused to answer when Bran asked if he hated them the whole time, because he didn't/doesn't hate them.

But it was an okay episode, was quite funny how arya's friend killed the guy with the poison dart lol.
To be fair theon+skanky hoe wasn't a love stroy, it was her tricking theon to make an escape. And it seems like Dany isn't interested in rich pudgy black guy. And he probably isn't interested in her, he's probably more interested in her dragons...

All I can say is that the writers needed to do it like this for the story to make sense. That, and we should open a donation site to give Danearys some acting lessons, I had an incredibly hard time watching her scene talking with the fat dude...
To be fair, she has been given some awful lines. Every time she speaks it's "I WANT DA IRON THRONE NOW!!!" Her character has been a bit 1 dimensional lately and its hard to act well with bad writing.

Well if it's anything I've caught from my friend who's read the books already (he's been adamant about not spoiling) you should NEVER be surprised if anyone dies unexpectedly or quickly.

Wouldn't be suprised if the black dude and #2 fat white dude are gay and bangin'
Dany's acting is pretty bad. I think she's supposed to be the "strong, female protagonist" but ends up being the "whiny, egotistical princess".

I think the writing is more to blame here. I don't know about you, but I always heard in writing classes, "show, don't tell." So what do they do with Dany? They have a character monologue all the reasons that she's a good ruler, without the audience actually seeing any of this first hand. We don't see her ruling anything, let alone doing it well. All we have to go on her being good is the word of one guy, who totally wants to bang her so his opinion isn't really valid.
They really need to show why the remaining Dothraki are still following her, beyond, "well she's hot and has dragons, and there really wasn't anything else going on."
