I suppose if you're a fan of the books it may seem off that it was done so quickly but I didn't think it failed to make any of those things clear. I thought it flowed logically that after you see him write the letter that you can assume the rest of the characters would know of it. The only thing that maybe isn't clear is Melisandre's name, I'm not sure they used it. Trust me, they skipped out on a lot on that part. I'm going to keep this book spoiler free as per the note, but they did and it was extremely rushed out comparative to the text. It should have been at least two separate scenes imo. Everything else was really well done though, in my opinion. edit: also, fuck that sex scene. God damnit that was loud.

Not true as it's on HBO, which is very much not free. However when I get a real Series Craving I find a quick google search to be highly rewarding. ![]()

This episode was a jumble of random stuff, they skipped a lot of plot elements and just assume people will understand enough of what's going on to figure out the rest? lol. No Jousting, tyrion showing up out of nowhere, It's like they decided to skip the beginning part of every storyline and jump right into the middle of each haha. The frist season i thought was great, very similar to the books, so far in this first episode it feels like they changed almost everything, and yet still explain nothing ![]() O.o they changed nothing, all they did was "rush" it

If it was a few years ago all the way up to my late teens I woulda been squirming awkward every sex scene that happens hell even if they just talked about sex. But now its just life and its seems to not bother me at all anymore. Very much more comfortable with myself and everything around me these days. And even if you are watching porn, so what? Just gotta own it no matter what you like. So great having my Granma watching it, my mom still watches celebrity apprentice so she walks in during commercials and such. But I was excited bout season 2 starting like a month ago and was telling my G-Ma bout it and telling her she should watch the 1st season so that she can watch the new ones with me. And from my quick summary she scoffed at it and didn't wanna know. So I just said whatevs and put on the 1st episode of the 1st season and eventually she started watching it with me. Next thing I know she's marathon-ing it and blew thru the whole season in 2 days. I was very much proud to call her my Granma that day.

Anyway I didn't know about the HBO thing, my bad. Thank you for pointing me to the right direction.

Littlefinger knows that he is too valuable to the realm to be killed. The man has a talent for making Dragons(The currency) appear from thin air. The king need someone to finance his war, so Littlefinger should be alright for a while

But with her lover in jail and her son struggling to maintain his throne against at least 2 challengers so far, and her son so willing to just randomly slaughter everyone, would anyone have been surprised [if they had not read the books] if Cersei just killed him? I guess I understand from a thematic pov the whole episode was exploring the question of 'what is power' but they could have found some other way for someone to remind littlefinger about the power of violence without making him look kind of silly imo.

But I'm really curious how they are gonna continue on this. The order of the different scenes, and just things being left out (I expected to see a lot more of what happened on dragonstone). And I also don't know why they changed certain things (no jousting), And correct me if I am wrong, but the maester of dragonstone (for the non book readers, the one who died from drinking from that cup) wasn't he supposed to be like really old and frail, almost unable to take stairs. Now he was basicly jogging over the beach oO

It did feel a little chaotic but they're probably just laying down the foundation of the entire book, just giving some context, so they can focus on one or two threads per episode. Maybe they'll focus on Arya a little more next episode. But since there's so much to cover naturally it felt rushed. I wish they would make season debuts an hour and a half long or something. They didn't leave out much from clash of kings iirc, at least not yet. I wish they'd show less titties lol. In the books there isn't much gratuitous sex really... I mean when there is sex i.e. between Daenrys and Drogo, it's pretty graphic but there aren't random titties poppin' out. It feels a little cheap.

So many amazing lines and such god-tier delivery. Yah the guy playing Robb Stark is fing killing it. Lots of early reviews of the first four episodes were raving about him
