is fucking surreal, actually the whole thing was strange dunno what to think. Altought I quite like the epilogue part (except + Show Spoiler + ) Cinematography was great at least we can say that. | ||

As for the ending the only thing I am confused about is why there is a Night's Watch. There is literally nothing for them to fight. I assume at this point WIldlings are free to come and go as they please and the Whites are all dead so that pretty much leaves nothing to really fear in the North. They clearly are not that picky on the oath or Sam would not be allowed all those titles and wife and children so a part of me wonders if this whole Nights Watch thing was kinda a wink wink nudge nudge sorta thing where everyone but the Unsullied realized he is free to do whatever he wants so long as he goes north and keeps his head down. | ||

It makes sense that after murdering the Queen a war would break out over that (and we are kinda at the series finale so no time for that), but he clearly seems to just be getting to travel north and live with the Wildlings which makes me think the whole "join the Nights Watfch" thing was nonsense as they have no purpose to exist as Jon notes AS ITS BEING TOLD TO HIM. My logic is simply if they still existed Sam would not be a lord so they must not and the Unsullied just got played. | ||

He said he was going to kill them. He fired a crossbow at them. Instead of just showing up and hanging out with them like buddies while they went on the path to victory he took them hostage and negotiated a castle for their lives. Only that doesn't make much sense because it's not like they can load the castle onto a helicopter for him to escape in, he let them go and then they still honoured the deal for some reason. I'd understand it if they were buddies but he took them hostage and held them for ransom for a castle and that's the kind of thing you'd expect them to take personally. | ||

I think it's just "rich heiress boating trip". Presumably Sansa and the north is underwriting this as a sort of gap year for Arya. The rest of the sailors play along and call her Captain Arya or whatever and then when they've sailed around in circles for 6 months they'll go back to the North and get their paychecks. | ||
