If you're interviewing someone about something important, usually there's followup questions. DnD confirmed in an ep.3(?) bts interview that they decided Arya was to kill the NK three years ago, that having Jon do it didn't seem right. So no, I don't think GRRM has had much input on how the end of the show plays out. As for Dany turning into Hitler burning innocents on the streets for no apparent reason. Come on, that's what anyone who just lost a child would do...

Dany and Tyrion are gonna die, Jon is going to the wildlings, Arya is gonna fuck of to somewhere where she is alone and everyone else will be quietly forgotten just like Dorne for the past 3 seasons because no time to fit them in the last 70 minutes J/k no seriously, i'm really wondering who is going to "win" the game if thrones. if so - I am sure its Ash not snow and the sequence after it is her traveling to the afterlife / dying and meeting her loved ones. So pretty confident Dany is going nowhere to be fair. Edit: nevermind, saw what you guys were referring too. Last shot doesnt necessary means in order. But lets see.

Could be snow that sits on the throne or the queen of the ashes, think it will be Jon in the end.

Possible that we get a short scene of Jamie and Cersei heavily wounded and Jamie mercy kills her or something but seems unlikely now.

More likely that someone brought it up and they just said "naaaaaa can't be bothered to think why that would happen so they can just die with everyone else because dragon"

maggy never talks about the valonqar in the show, she only says cersei will be queen and another younger more beatiful will come and take all what she holds, and that she will only have 3 kids, and she did: Joffrey, Myrcella, Tommen. so the prophecy isn't actually unfulfillled, the things actually happened, is just not the same as the books

If you're interviewing someone about something important, usually there's followup questions. They could ask. They also have the artistic license to change whatever the hell they want because it's their TV show and both TV shows and movies regularly change the plot of adaptations to make it "more TV/movie friendly". Furthermore, there is a very concrete difference between the writing based on GRRM's source material and the writing beyond it. One is good, the other is not. Until we get a book 6 to show us if the books follow closely or not, I'll give Martin the benefit of the doubt, based on all of his current work. fanboys at their best Swing and a miss Sharkie. LotR > ASOIAF. Try again.

Everytime someone tried to come from that angle you reject it, i have to assume because you have no idea what storytelling is and how it works. I am pretty confident that a lot of the plotpoints will be the same, dany will do terrible things in the books as well, but it will be justified differently, we have one big plotline in the books which isn't present at all in the show which will help a ton in that department. About the long night: There is no nightking in the books, this will be extremely different solely based on this crucial fact. But hey, hurr durr fanboys am i right. I wouldn't have thought that one person could trigger me as much, but you adn that fish dude actually did it. zzzz stop crying why you dragging my name into this. feast for crows sucks. IT IS KNOWN. keep the discussion on the brilliant episode 5. how will episode 6 top episode 5??????

I'm half serious, gonna go to bed now, probably will watch the rest tomorrow. This is so bad. edit: This is basically everything that went wrong with action cinema in the last ~15 years. Seriously, fuck this shit. If you like this, you like "the fast and the furious" and no, there is no excuse known to man for this.
