And yeah i dont get the significance of the bells for Dany, was that foreshadowed in any kind that i dont remember or was it some random crapshot?

D&D went full George Lucas with his 'so much explosions to see' while ditching every inch of sensible story telling Absolute garbage Even the music was bad

If anything had gone different, I probably would have considered it dumb and nonsensical (like if Sandor had just won somehow or Arya killed Cersei), so that was a good episode. Now to see if Jon has it in him to up his kill count by 1.

They sack the city anyway after dany sees the home her family built that she could just go to and kill whoever is in it. LEts just destroy that and everything in the city anyway for shits and giggles.

Cleganboll was stupid, the dragon blowing a wall from behind (???) was just an insane idea, the Euron scenes was the ending the character deserved and the overemphasis on the main character in the battle was a bit annoying. Everyone else was good for me, you could say it's an odd way take the story line but it's not an inherently bad one to me, but the start at Dragonstone was good, and I quite loved the KingsLanding sacking scene, a good bit of violence porn, but that's like half the show. The cinematography was great most of the time. Honestly I'm not that against the mad queen angle, it's not like Dany is the first person to sack and burn a city and they did plenty of foreshadowing, Dany succumbing to blood lust doesn't seem that crazy to me, she's been at war almost all her life and lost almost everything. At least I'm able to swallow it without to much problems. I liked the episode overall honestly, if it didn't have to tell other story (the Hound and Euron) I think I would have loved it. Also poor Quibern, he deserved better lol

Idk how they can scuff that up. Having the snow at the start of the ep then have it contrast with ashes later wouldve been cool. smh GoT.

Writing considered, I still need to finish The Wire so at least there's something that's good and nuanced from beginning to end.

The big question now is who gets to finish the Mad Queen off or does madness rule the seven kingdoms again?

It 100% deserves all the flak that it's getting. There is basically nothing positive to say about this season from a writing perspective. I feel bad for all of these quality actors that have to go through this farce. I mean is everyone really shocked that Dany who hast literally lost everyone important to her over the past season has finally snapped and lost her mind. She is a Targaryen and they are particularly susceptible to madness after all and that is without losing her closest friend, two of her "children", her longest serving and most loyal adviser, all of which happened right in front of her. Combo that with the fact that she is not getting anywhere near the reaction she expected when she returned to Westeros and in fact many of her own subjects prefer another and she was bound to lose it at some point. The big question now is who gets to finish the Mad Queen off or does madness rule the seven kingdoms again? The development could make sense. The problem is that there is no development. It's horribly written and incredibly rushed. The execution of her "going mad" is just awful. That's why people are so pissed.

I kind of figured with how the GoT seasons are magical anyway that the Winter was caused in some sense by the White Walkers themselves and that with them defeated Winter had turned out to be short. Either way, even if season 1 they were saying that no one really knows how long Winter will last which tells you there is some mystical element to it all.
