Almost everything else is pretty meh and feels very very cheap. They also didn't take any effort to choreograph the few fights in the episode, they look very lame and unrealistic. If you ever held anything in your hands with an intention to reach another person with it, it's kinda obvious Tristane at that distance (which seemed like 1.5 meters) would take around 0.5 seconds to stab the knout girl, then it's a goddamn spear in a tight cabin which cannot really work. When he drew that sword and I saw how close he was to her, I seriously expected both the girls to die. The way it ended up is really sad.

Plus, now they have Davos... so Davos + Snow = Win everything. If Jon Snow revives, I guess that means he won't be a member of the night's watch anymore.

Anyway, this episode was average, which means excellent considering the level of the production in general. Dorne makes little sense and is kitsch as fuck, but to be honest, I think that part of the show in general is beyond fixing. That's not a terribly big problem if they don't decide to have us endure hours of it this season. Mereen is the other slightly weaker part of the show imo, but that is a recurring problem with Daenerys' plotline since the beginning. As much as I love Tyrion and Varys talking and being witty, I didn't quite get how and why they would just walk around in a city in insurrection. That matters very little. The whole wall part, including the last scene was amazing. Wonderful writing, wonderful filming and wonderful acting. Anyway, this season looks very promising.

And yes, I think they will retake Winterfell.

People can complain, especially if its a show they like. As far as other shows, fantasy fans don't really have anything comparable. This is the Lord of the Rings type moment for fantasy on TV. I'm hoping the next fantasy series that gets picked up will learn from the mistakes and successes of Game of Thrones.

Sure, you get to see 3 episodes at once. But then you have to wait 3 weeks to see new content :O I stopped myself from watching the leaked episodes. To each their own I suppose.

Or would he still belong to the night's watch (his watch has ended or not?) I think you have the right of it but how many people supported Allister thorne? Only about half of the night's watch (back at the voting for the new lord commander) and even less of those actually support the decision of killing Jon Snow I imagine. So if Jon Snow revives, I think the night's watch will indeed experience a schism and an epic fight to accompany it. But if Jon Snow still belongs to the night's watch, he shouldn't be allowed to recapture winterfell.

Don't think anyone besides the ones in the room with davos support him any more.

![]() the words of the vow: "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." semantically, I would say that he would be absolved
