Noble, unlike Baelish, but fairly minor until the war started (depending on who you ask, he may have been the guy who started the wars of the roses). Switched sides in the war several times, every time with a mind to increasing his own power. Gained tremendous popular support by being charming and charismatic. Maneuvered to become the richest and most powerful man in the kingdom. Used it to raise several rebellions when it suited him. He ended up king in all but name; but that was enough. He had the real king imprisoned and submissive, but the fact of the true king's survival meant that others were able to rally and eventually drive him from the capital.
Yes, real history is a spoiler. Requesting ban please.
A ban is not enough, requesting he takes the black!

I am a bit more soft than you. I think we can give him the option of choosing between the black or getting his hand cut off.

It should be a choice between tongue and fingers.

My guess is he is done in the story. His only significant factor was that he was Robert's bastard, but I don't really see him coming to power or anything, and he has already been used for the king's blood magic stuff so there doesn't seem much left for him to do. Unless he meets up with Arya again at some point, but he was headed back to KL and Arya was headed to Bravos right? Not sure of the geography but I suppose they could pass by each other on the sea?

I can't remember Tyrion ever finding out who told Catelyn Stark that he was trying to murder Bran. Did that happen in the show? Asa far as I remember Tyrion never even gets properly told what his crime is, that's why he begins confessing childhood pranks in his trial. Then he demands trial by Mortal Kombat, Bronn finishes Ser Vardis, and then they leave the Eyrie and get captured by the hill tribes.
If anyone told him Littlefinger put the blame on him, then it was in King's Landing. And there it is Cersei, Varys and Littlefinger who could tell him about that.

I think Sansa is 13 when the show starts and then is 14 by S3. Arya is I think 12 when the show starts and prob 13 by now. Everyone is just older than in the books.

Littlefinger told Catelyn that the dagger the would-be Bran assassin used was Tyrion's, and I remember Tyrion saying that it's stupid to count that as evidence because he wouldn't give an assassin his personal dagger everybody can link to him. So he knew what he was accused of, and he knew why. He might not have known how Catelyn knew it was his dagger, but since it in fact was, that doesn't really matter. What matters is who gave it to the assassin.
And that must have been Cersei, right? Jaime probably wouldn't have framed Tyrion. And now that you say it, I agree, Tyrion should have asked questions about how the assassin got his dagger ...
