Davos Seaworth lines are good. maybe he convinced the Iron Bank? And I didn't get the part what Ramsey said to Theon's sister. why did he let her go?

The power in that scene is that he choose his brother over the women he loves.

Does that mean people like Jaime, Barristan, the Hound, etc can literally do whatever they want and then just demand a trial by combat afterwards? Well, sort of, but they believe that the result of the trial by combat will be decided by the gods, so justice will still be done regardless.

Him letting her go probably has something to do with the mission he wants to give theon. Maybe he's hoping to actually get the iron islands on their side using theon or something.

I actually have a bad feeling that Tyrion's opponent will be Jamie. *someone just mentioned there was a trailer where Oberyn fought the mountain so this makes sense too* On May 12 2014 10:55 Redox wrote: Damn I loved that episode, from beginning to the end. Way better than the last 2 which I did not really like. +1 big time

I loved the foreboding feel of the trial scene. Not to mention the calculating negotiation by Tywin with Jamie.

Oberyn is the obvious choice for Tyrion since you can assume Tywin will pick strongest fighter loyal to the lannisters which is the mountain. Bronn cant beat him and while Jamie might have been able to at full strength he clearly isn't there yet whereas Oberyn has a desire for revenge which will allow him to serve as Tyrion's champion.

+ Show Spoiler + It showed a scene of the mountain killing stuff. Tho he's big , this actor doesn't have this really ruthless and scary aura. He's looks like a kind person if you ask me lol.

No I guess there is a trial only when there is a doubt. It's basically a "We don't know so let the gods decide". If Tyrion had killed the king with knife through the chest he probably wouldn't have the right.

I don't know what was up tonight ![]() Also best episode of the entire season so far. Tyrion was so fucking good, I felt so fucking bad for him and you could tell how badly it was hurting him to see Shae forced to do this to him. I knew she wasn't out of the city yet. Glad we got to see some Varys action too, he's a schemer and I'm wondering what he's been up to.

what happens to Tyrion afterwards? I doubt he seriously stays in King's Landing he's at odds with Tywin and Cersei, so where does Tyrion's story go afterwards?
