The way they constantly have the dragon eggs of Daenerys on screen, with the candles surrounding them. It seems suspicious. Foreshadowing perhaps? I asked my friend who read the books the same thing. + Show Spoiler + :D What kind of epic medieval fantasy story would it be with "extinct dragons"

Must say i'm a bit confused as to what the whole deal is with Calisi (spelling) and the army she's following around.. I'm guessing those guys and lord stark/the kings army are gonna battle or what? I haven't really fully payed attention to it, watched halfway through episode 3 and went to bed, probably missing some story info here or maybe i'm just dumb T_T

you can see how that is working out for him. as for the army, he sold his sister(Dany/Khaleesi) to the Khal(leader) in return for the Khal's 'khalasar' (army) to take back his throne, yes.

Yeah i'm aware of all that, but just not entirely sure of their background and what exactly is going to happen in this crazy winter that people are scared off... Guess i'll just have to wait and see but right now it's not piecing together at all

Her brother 'traded' her to the khal( The nice drogo fellow) In exchange for his horde to help him win back his throne. Robert, the current king was a usurper to the previous king. He was know as the mad king. And so all the Taergaryns were thrown out of the seven kingdoms and Dany's he wants to ride back and reclaim his throne. Please excuse the spelling errors, haven't read the books in a while and I don't remember how they are spelled.

but yeah, you dont have anything else to piece together then as far as how the two story lines are related, i think.

There are a number of powerful noble families who all have their own goals and ambitions, and are trying to bring their plans to fruition in different ways. We just get to see what happens when their goals and ambitions clash ^_^

I am actually surprised that people think the show is moving too slowly and is boring. The whole world is a new setting and we are thrust into it without really knowing the background story. If it moved any faster, I feel much of the significance and nuances would be lost to viewers.

+ Show Spoiler + Bran didn't have the crow dream. I was really looking forward to Bran having the dream and then waking up and finally naming his wolf Summer. Other than that I'm really enjoying the show.

Other than that I'm really enjoying the show. well that scene is allready over but they can always integrate some parts of the dream if he remembers something etc. But you are right that dream is a huge part of Brans character development so it would have been good to keep it. On the other hand Bran doesnt play a big role in the first book so I can see why they left it out, probably not to confuse some viewers even more.
