Stannis seems to be dicking around hoping someone else will solve his problems.

I don't mind the rape scene the much, GoT hasn't done any real kinky shit in nearly two seasons

avoided spoilers this week by following this guideline, its good if you want to make sure you dont get spoiled

I haven't read the books and I don't know what is going to happen next. But by just seeing how badass the actor who plays Stannis is, I'm 100% Team Stannis and I hope he'll do some awesome stuff in the next episodes/seasons. Even though he is just being lazy recently.

I thought stannis was going to come help? Trial by combat is recognized in all of Westeros (i.e. not just a Vale tradition) — Sandor had one with the Brotherhood leader, and that wasn't in the Vale.
It's likely Tyrion will demand a trial by combat at some point (seeing how it's unlikely they'll judge him innocent, even if it's 2v1). Considering that Gregor Clegane is a Lannister man, and one of the most strong and deadly brutal men in Westeros, Cersei will probably not hesitate even a second in naming him her champion (she wants Tyrion dead, a lot). Interestingly Oberyn will be a judge, probably judging with the rest against Tyrion. And we can probably all agree on what he'd do when such an opportunity presents itself. Most likely name himself before Tyrion has a chance to name Bron is own champion. Or maybe Tyrion names Bron his champion, Cersei counters with Clegane, and Oberyn offers himself up and Bron refuses (not judging it worth it, or something — he likes being alive).
I suppose it all depends on if the Mountain will actually be in King's Landing at the time? I can't seem to remember where he is at this point in time. If you can name someone who's not there and wait for them to come, I guess it's a possiblity she will say his name.
Edit: It's a predictable twist, I'll admit, but that's probably why it's so likely. The ingredients are all out there. Oberyn wanting Gregor dead, Tywin offering Oberyn a seat as a judge, Tyrion's history of demanding trial by combat, Gregor being the Lannisters' best fighter and so on. Tywin will probably realise the problem the moment Cersei names Gregor, but he can't really control her at this point.

You claimed that what Jamie did was not rape, you were being advised that if your definition of rape excludes what we saw, you should still avoid immitating the action, as the rest of the world, pretty unanimously considers that rape

actually, hes good. We had a case here in germany last year and the court ruled that you have to scream really loudly or else its not rape since the rapist coudlnt be sure if you" wanted it" or not
Anyways, i dont know hat the problem is. Compared to all other sex scenes, this one was very mild. It just happened to be a bit disturbing due to the story background. But since is a fictional story, noone was harmed by seeing two fully cothed actors tumbling on the ground.

You guys are dragging this into a territory where it really should not be. And to get personal here is highly inappropriate.

Didn't use her safe word. Not rape.
|
Please guys, that was just foreplay between Cersei and Jaime.
Joffrey's dead corpse right next to them was just the cherry on top.
|
When I saw the scene, I didn't even consider this being rape. What did disturb me was the fact that they would do it next to a dead body. Anyone who has seen a dead body in real life knows that this is just not something normal people are capable of.

Though they're obviously not "normal".

Well, they are siblings to begin with, so it's not like that would be the only thing to complain about here.
|
Well the thing is, as a viewer you can still have empathy for characters that do incest if you see that they are actually in love. Even the killing attempt of Bran you may be able to rationalize given the circumstances. After this necrophile scene however, all empathy the viewer had for Jaime and Cersei is broken. All that remains in your mind is the notion of two monsters that fuck next to corpses. I cannot see how this is good for character development and why the viewer should continue to care about them.

I'm fairly certain that it was never the writer's primary intention to make the audience care for any character. Not on a show like GoT.
