Season 4 was great but seeing that at the end was a huge wtf moment for me. Dexter is golden folks. And john lithgow in the 4th season and dexter do an AMAZING job. The only drawback to dexter is his sister, sometimes her acting is very forced. Same with the other girl, the reporter. | ||

I mean, as far as i remember that scene was out of context, and the way it was filmed implied that it was sort of surreal. And it would make sense if it wasn't real, but instead dexters worst fear taking a form of this hallucination. Oh and i haven't seen (nor plan to) the previews yet, if they show that this have indeed happened then disregard my post | ||

kill Quinn, im pretty sure Quinn is going to die somehow even if its not Dexter Seeing if Dexter can keep his family together will be really interesting to see as well. I kinda think they might just dump Cody and Ester on Rita's mother and have Harrison be the main focus. Although now that I think about it, developing the character of a baby is kinda difficult...maybe in a later season. | ||

But to me the plot is just too good in season one not to give it the top placement. I remember quite a few cringe worthy moments in the first episodes, especially from Debra and Angel (I think). But the plot in season 1 is pretty much why I still watch Dexter as it just blew me away. So amazing how the season as a whole was incredible, while any individual episode was pretty bad. | ||

I definitely agree that the story arc of season 1 blew anything else ive seen out of the water. It was amazing. The only problem was that the acting and dialogue could have been better, definitely. I rewatched it, and I had such a greater appreciation for what was going on after having seen a few seasons and having come to understand the character of Dexter more. That preview for season five actually looks really good. Season 3 and 4 were missing something for me. | ||

The writers said so in an interview because some hours after the last episode was out some people created this ingenious theory that Dexter had killed her due to him having a split personality (which he did not). Also, watch the new teasers and trailers for season 5. Rita is dead, killed by Trinity. | ||
