Whoever said that trinity had a ritual based on real events that he reenacted pretty much nailed it I think. He said "you were never a father to me" or something to the last guy he killed. The 2nd and 3rd victims are both parent's of 2 kids so it's possible they are his parents with the 1st victim being his sister.
I posted that theory earlier. After finding out Trinity has a wife and two kids (that was what I saw, anyways), I played around with the possibility that he's instead fantasizing about killing his own family (ending with himself, as the older man), but then he wouldn't have a fantasy about killing his son, and it doesn't quite add up. So I'm sticking with my first theory: When Trinity was young, his father abused his sister. His sister committed suicide by cutting herself in a bath. His mother committed suicide by falling to her death. Trinity bludgeoned his father to death. And now he re-enacts these three deaths over and over.
Questions now are: If trinity has this family in Miami, how has he been killing people all over America for the last 30 years? My best guess is that he has business trips. Also, since he's finished this cycle in Miami, he should be going to a new city sometime soon for his next cycle. Is Dexter going to follow him? Does this imply that some degree of separation is going to occur between Dexter and Rita?

I've never considered her a good actress, but I think she pulled off that scene passably well. And really, they had to address the fact that she fucks everything up and gets totally screwed over constantly.

Yea I know after listening to her whine for 2 minutes I had to leave the room.

wouldn't it be so great if Rita divorced him? everything would work out perfectly, but Dexter would keep his kid of course
also, Deb really annoys me. i think her role on the show is to make people want the plot to get back to Dexter

The chick that plays Deb was awful in that Quarantine movie as well.
+ Show Spoiler +I wish she had stayed in that coma. The show would've made a huge leap forward.

Deb crying was annoying, but it's worse every time they show La Guerta and Batista. That whole relationship is so pointless and boring.
|
no one gives a flying fuck about batista and laguerta
|
I think I've always hated Deb and the actress that plays her because I find her very unattractive and I really am that terrible a person.
But I felt watching last night that I had to finally admit that she is an exceptional actress.
It's interesting that so many people hate her character when, really, she is the only character on the entire show other than Dexter. No other character has any substance whatsoever.

harry is becoming my favorite character this season. really like the way he's developed in dexter's head.
|
Agree completely! Harry in the last episode was great, the way he was so poised for revenge made it feel so much more intense

Yeah but almost all relationships in Dexter seem to be the part of something significant, then again with Quinn and that reporter girl too .. they might just be trying to add some awful drama to it.

i think debora acted magnificently in the most recent episode. I can also see why this would make her annoying though, because I felt the crying scene was highly uncomfortable. but that she is able to make me feel uncomfortable through her acting is a great attest to her skill as an actor,
and yea la guerta and batista is boring. what I think funny is that quinn is fucking this girl with a seriously hot body and she bears the only boobs theyve shown so far. ;p
as a final note, I'm loving john lithgow and I think this is a good season.

I like Deb and I would totally slay her with my pork sword.
I am pretty sure she is married to michael c hall so I am sure she won't be going anywhere ever.

why would that matter?

Deb is the lead in The Exorcism of Emily Rose and holy fuck is she an amazing actress. She plays are role really really well. Ofcourse we gonna get annoyed at the almost worthless annoying loud girl but she's had her moment and the job is done well.
|
I hope you guys know Michael C. Hall is married to debra irl.
|
I thought Michael Hall only dated her at some point. Didn't know married to her.
Also, FWIW, I think Jennifer Carpenter is an excellent actress. Some scenes of hers may make you uncomfortable, but it's not because she's doing bad acting - it's because she's playing her character so well, and the situations that character gets in.

I thought the crying scene was really well done. Definitely gave me chills.
I like this season way more than last season with the whole Prado family stuff. Also him sharing his secret of the dark passenger was retarded as hell imo. In this season he has a worthy adversary again. The romance stuff between Laguerta and Batista (likeable characters but come on) can go for all I care too.
Rita puts him in a hard spot which makes his job harder which is good. It will bring excitement because he'll have to find a new way of keeping his dark passenger out of his family.
