I really wanna get the books too, probably gonna buy them this week ;o (if they're actually in stock, not sure how popular they are) I've only seen episode 1, 3, and 6 so far (couldnt find episode 2 to dl, and I found a stream of episode 6 so I went for it). Still an awesome show but I don't like it quite as much as the first season. | ||

My picks for best shows (still airing): House (awesome) The Office Entourage Older ones: Firefly (awesome) Oz The Shield Rome Supernatural is quite watchable also. I cant stand watching these most popular shows like SG, Heroes, Prison Break, The Unit etc., acting is just aweful and scripts are way too predictable and corny. | ||

"how do you know its going to work?" "i dont. *pause for effect* you got a better option?" "as a matter of fact... *pause for effect, turn head slowly* i do" music grows louder in background and cut in next scene... show dragged on a little too much with the same stuff being repeated (i never counted but there are probably double digit amount of scenes with the black cop going "i got my eyes on you" then dexter doing his little eyeroll/smirk and sidestepping him in some way, totally unnecessary to repeat the same content so many times). and how the whole season was revolving around a single murderer? the speed at how heroes or prison break advances is so painfully slow and predictable its a real torture to watch. i missed like 2 episodes of heroes and i could still understand what was going on. then i just gave up. | ||

I think that made season 1 a lot better than if they had just worked on some random cases with no connection. The play between Dexter and the murderer was what made season 1. | ||

However, some episodes really make up for that and are exciting all through. The Shield is true ownage btw, ranks up there with Dexter, Rome, Lost and The Office (UK). Fuck Heroes, some lame childish shit | ||
