Mixed feelings about the lead actress, I kinda like her minimalist approach but she went a bit too much in the cardboard direction. Overall I do recommend it, but don't expect it to make you ponder on the great questions, it's more of a measured thriller.

Overall the series is decent. Most episodes are entertaining to watch with a few duds here and there. Well above average series, though the opening of episodes becomes a bit formalistic when watching an episode a day instead of per week. Been watching the DVD version since the Blu-Ray is said to be missing the CGI or layering in a lot of places. Considering how old the series is the CGI is surprisingly good. Of course it is nowhere near current standards but for a series that ran two seasons per year around year 2000 it works with only a few spots really showing low quality due to what was possible with a small CGI team pumping out stuff. The extra episode where they tried to explain a bit about how they did the CGI was a blast to the past.

The series doesn't fare well after 2-3 episodes in a row. The beginning with the random vampire kill kind of gets repetitive as an example.

Your dead to me. :D Nahh, I used to watch Buffy to learn english, so I rewatched it until I memorized every actors lines in two different languages. The later seasons, especially season 5 and onward are my favourites. It's been a decade, I don't think there is anyway it holds up as well as it aged in my memory! Such a great show overall. If you like some lighthearted entertainment that can elicit at least a chuckle or two from you each episode this is the one for you.

Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn) Only found a short 2 minute stretch a bit dull in the 50 min episode. Had me laughing multiple times, smiling for most of it and brought me close to tears at another point. Went out of the episode thinking, I have to see this again at some point. First time it happened in the series for me. Don't think the episode would hold up well as a stand alone episode for somebody that hasn't seen the last few episodes prior to it of Buffy. It is a heavy plot episode where not knowing who people are and why they are having the reveals they are having would detract a lot from it. On another note, it is strange how much my opinion differs with the average viewers for season 5. Where people consider The Body a masterwork and I didn't really connect to it. Probably lacking the pre-requisite experiences or something. Or Fool for Love which is very highly rated and was a good though not spectacular episode in my eyes. Guess I'll finish the series up over the next few weeks, a bit sad when I know all the best episodes have passed. Still looking forward to more and perhaps I will like some episodes that were not as liked in general. Happened to others in the series with for example Spiral that I quite enjoyed. A big shift from the normal series that was very interesting to me, though looking at it logically it isn't very well put together. That entire order is a bit too out there, which is part of what makes them great. Edit. Still a bit happy/hyped from the episode 30 minutes later. Not often movies or series cause that. Usually only get it from books.

The last episodes were great but the finale was just on another level with an absolutely amazing music score to build up the tension. Loved it, no other way to put it. Guess theres hope for future content in the universe after all with this and the mandalorian.

Of course the singing isn't perfect but it is true to the characters. If they could suddenly sing with the best of them it would likely be much worse than this was. Though it surprised me how bad + Show Spoiler + Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn) Only found a short 2 minute stretch a bit dull in the 50 min episode. "Normal Again" is soo funny on a meta-level, I do hope you find enjoyment in these aswell. And right before there is "Hell's Bells", man, season 6 is banging.

I just watched the first 2 from 2008 and it was pretty bad. I kinda feel like skipping although I usually never do that.

Tabula Rasa was pretty fun, a good episode for sure. Havn't gotten to those two episodes yet. Downside with looking up episode names is that the summary is next to them so I semi spoil myself. I should probably have found a list with just names instead of the IMDB one. Yeah Rebels grew on me at the end, I wasnt a fan at start but as soon as they made it a bit more serious and introduced Rex and Ahsoka, it went only up from there. I actually want to know what happens to Ezra now. On May 27 2020 04:00 Nyovne wrote: Just got around to finishing the series. His work on Clone Wars, Rebels (the last few seasons) and The Mandalorian are some of the best Star Wars I've seen. Hoping that he'll be used in some sort of capacity for future movies as well.
