Oh there's always something to discuss. Narutoforums (old narutofan) has 42k threads in its Naruto manga section alone. I used to hang out there some. High level of troll, but also some good discussions, predictions etc. Dunno why you'd think people run out of things to talk about in between chapters, even the threads on TL stay active more or less throughout the week

its a crazy roller coaster.

You just don't read naruto for the romance, because if you do, you're gonna get disappointed.

Even now, I'm sure you can still discuss a decent amount of stuff but seeing as this is just a thread in a sea of threads, we don't get that much discussion aside from the latest which is the most I've seen in a while on here.

Believe it or not, Sakura is the main heroine. Kishi admitted when he first made Naruto, he was bad at creating good heroine. I think at one point Sakura forehead was oddly big and they decided to use it as comedic relief between Ino and Sakura (this was more visible in the manga earlier chapter I think). As Kishi drawing got more refine or we got used to it, it sorta of blended in. The reason I think Kishi has sort of swap between Hinata and Sakura is because majority of the viewer dislike Sakura since she was made to keep following Sasuke for no good reason. Either way, if you have 2 heroine, you sort of have to atleast show both side of the story. Hinata already did her confession and Sakura going to do her next. Since Sakura is stupidly the main heroine, she already auto wins sadly or Naruto isnt going to go with anyone. Classic anime set up unless we go the School Days Route.
Edit: but yes, the romance in this story is fail anyways but it still peak my curiousity at who kishimoto going to decide even if the answer is obvious.

i think people didnt like sakura because she never did anything for almost all of the manga yet was still somehow an equal part of the team.
I think I remember reading kishimoto saying that "Sakura is physically weaker because she's a girl and Rock lee because he can't use ninjutsu represent human weakness" but he seems to have completely changed that nowadays since since the shippudden era might guy has been pretty beastly and theres plenty of strong female characters (starting with tsunade and sakura much more useful since she trained under tsunade as well)

pretty certain that confession was just something to "develop" their romance. Since it was hard to develop romance in these type of manga/setting, especially in shippuden because every situation has been pretty tense and life or death situation. It not really like a slice of life high school love where they bring lunches and stuff or slipping and one falling on top of another develop. I think kishi was pretty clever in developing the romance and progressing the story. A real confession should be coming sometime soon I believe but after this whole sakura heart grabbing/kissing situation, with no expression change from her, it hard to imagine that a romance between them is even in the story at all.

She's trying to save his life dude. It's a pretty desperate measure to manually pump someone's heart to temporarily buy time. I would say that romance is the furthest thing from her mind right now.

Sakura got picked on because of her constant love for Sasuke while ignoring Naruto and being useless for most of the manga. Even when she beat one of Akatuski's members with Chio(or w/e the name of the old lady), most didn't count that as her doing something useful and that it was due to Chio that she won.

Feel like if Sasuke comes back to Konoha if alive at all he will just end up being alone and Naruto will reject Sakura because he realized Hinata has always been there for him.
Actually scratch that, idgaf who ends up with who. Long as the ending of the actual story is decent.

A decent ending, this manga. Yes, that would be nice. In a pinch I would be satisfied with a bad ending as long as I can get cheap entertainment out of it.
I think the worst thing that could happen would be a 7 chapter talk no jutsu after which Madara simply decides to just give up and return to being dead. Let's all hope it doesn't happen.
