And in terms of taijutsu it's obvious that his technique is at least on par if not better than that of Gai. And I don't see Tsunade having greater speed than Gai. I don't see Tsunade beating Kakashi in mele OR in ranged all she can do is heal and try to outsustain him but like I pointed out without even including Kamui, he might just kill her without giving her the chance to heal. | ||

Nobody would have been shocked if Pain killed Konohamaru, Iruka or anyone of the 12 genins during his attack on konoha. So we're left with the jounins: Kakashi, Kurenai, Asuma and Gai. Gai is too goofy for this role, Asuma is already dead and Kurenai is not a combatant anymore since she's pregnant. Kakashi is kinda the only serious and highlevel ninja who had any amount of screentime. | ||
