still can't believe Madara was defeated with a lame clone technique but maybe he casted genjutsu making Hashi think he won and his only goal was to steal his DNA by getting the woodclone.

Hashirama's clones are pretty good though since I recal Madara saying he was the only one who could see trough them. Besides that they must have been exhausted after such a huge battle and when you're exhausted you're going to make mistakes.
Anyway I don't think it's a genjutsu since Madara seems genuinly surprised when he got stabbed.

How do you guys think will Sasuke respond to hearing the First Hokage's story? I don't think he'll go for it. The entire plot of the manga for the last few hundred chapters has revolved around Naruto attempting to bring Sasuke to the light. I don't think Kishi will allow anyone -- Hashirama included -- to steal that job from Naruto. And I also don't think he'll rob us of the highly-anticipated Naruto vs Sasuke fight.
Then again, maybe that fight will occur later for different reasons. Right now, there is no justifiable way that Sasuke, a weaker version of Madara who was incapable of even defeating Kabuto, could take on the unstoppable godlike monster that Naruto has become. Unless he fights Naruto in a weakened state, which I don't think Kishi would do, Sasuke needs further training and powerups. And powering up as an Uchiha means becoming more evil.
At this rate, the story is driving harder than ever toward Sasuke acquiring the Rinnegan.

yeah it might be the first step to get sasuke back to the good side but since Naruto vs Sasuke was the clear final battle ever since the timeskip, he won't stop now and the only person that will manage to convince him is Naruto.

I thought that there was thunder right after he killed him so he was surprised but I dunno lol. I really hope Hashirama didn't get followed by genjustu. Would prefer that Madara used izanga to change his destiny and make it look like he died

Wouldn't Madara's plan be to fake his death for this trick because he never could beat Hashirama anyway?
The super Uchiha tablet was mentioned again just a chapter ago. Madara probably deciphered that he needs Senju dna to get the rinnegan which he wants to get his moon eye bullshitplan underway.
After all Madara seems to have never been able to beat Hashirama ever so I doubt that he would suddenly for this last fight be able to beat him. So a trick, feigning his death, snatching the dna he needs and forwarding his insane plan in a cave underground.
There were hints that Madara resigned and stopped trying to change the shinobi world in this flashback. Or did I imagine these hints?

Yeah it sounds suspiciously like madara managed to cast izanagi or some other genjutsu. Naruto's been pretty good lately, you can tell it's going to wrap up soon and it's good to see it ending strong :>

im sorry Madara was too busy carving out a valley to see through a clone they both probably barely had enough strnegth to stand at the end

not stopped, but rather not completely satisfied with how it turned out. I'm pretty sure he approved of the village at first, but the political bullshit caused him to realize the fighting wasn't going to stop whether it be physical or political. He still wants to change the world, hence the moon's eye plan, he just gave up on reality. =(
The tablet is the interesting part. I don't think there was any additional secrets in the tablet other than that yin yang thing. But he applied it to uchiha/senju and figured if he combined both, he could gain some kind of new power(rinnengan)

things i noticed : madara didn't have his rasengan
there a full square dedicated to a moon (is it of any importance?)
what about possibilities of izanami or izanagi? maybe he wanted to fake death? changing a leathal blow(straight in the heart) and deviating it where he would be hurt but not lethally wounded.
really excited about the next chapter coming out soon.
other question : who is your favorie character? mine is most definately shikamaru, his fight against hidan was prolly one the most exiting in the whole story. am i also the only one to think the fights with the tailed beast are somewhat boring ?

Yeah we talked about the use of izanami or izanagi on the last few pages with the most obvious counter point being Nagato having 2 rinnegan eyes and you need an EMS to gain thr rinnegan. Though it's still possible if Mads had spare sharingan or something.
My favourite character is definetly Madara since he's funny, pretty fucking strong but as shown in the flashback totally a loser and always behind Hashirama.

if he used izanagi there wouldnt have been a corpse so hashi would ahve realised just like there wasnt a dozen danzo corpses lieing around after his fight
