In this particular case, these undead bodies (with souls called upon through resurrection) can move, act, and think. | ||

Tobi planned to bring him back with the Rinnegan. It has not yet been stated whether the rinnegan needs the actual body to bring someone back to live, but I assume it does. Since pain only revived people that died in the konoha war, it would be an intuitive condition for the rinnegan to require the body. Otherwise we would need to wonder why pain did not revive other people that he killed, for example jaraiya. So the rinnegan needs the whole body to resurrect someone, then tobi must have had madaras body locked up somewhere. I don't think it's weird that kabuto found madaras body while he worked with tobi. | ||

Kabuto spent alot of time modifying Madara's edo tensse, hence the massive charkra needed to summon him unlike all the others. | ||

It does sound familiar to Goku and Vegeta even though their story isn't in the same vein as Naruto. Wonder if Kishi will decide to pull something like that off lol | ||
