Orochimaru is by far my favorite villain of the series. Madara Uchiha is second, though, because I like how he's supposed to be OP (as opposed to other characters being forced into OP-ness out of lazy writing).
Oro was exceptionally powerful. His goal was to learn every ninja technique ever created, and to that end he conducted a vast amount of research. Even before he started this research, he was a natural talent, the favorite pupil of the Third Hokage, the strongest of the three Sannin, and likely the strongest ninja in Konoha (save Uchihas like Itachi and Obito). He was also a higly-respected member of Akatsuki. Kakashi called himself an idiot to think he could single-handedly compete with Orochimaru (Chapter 70, Pages 1-3). In addition, it was explicity stated earlier in the manga that the only reason Sasuke defeated Orochimaru was because of his weakened state; even Sasuke respects that fact (Chapter 593, Page 2).
So, long-story short, don't underestimate Orochimaru. He's damn near invincible, more knowledgeable than just about every character in the series, and doesn't seem at all surprised by the craziness that's passed since his "death" (implying that he probably predicted all of it, including Kabuto's actions).
I know it seems like the characters now are OP, but so is Orochimaru. Always has been, always will be. I doubt he can go toe-to-toe with Uchiha Madara, but then again, nobody can but the First Hokage. The Sharingan has always been his weakness, and Naruto is above kage level now, too, but Oro is a crafty motherfucker who will pick his battles wisely. I sincerely believe he will be the main villain at the end of the series.

Orochimaru is the OG. He's a badass. Can't wait for him to come back. He was by far my favorite villain. Always pissed me off the way he just sort of faded out.

So Madara has completely forgotten the two OP things in his face? They have the juubi, but really? Pretty sure he could just roflstomp everyone there without the juubi.

That's the annoying part. They're just standing there discussing what the ninja army is doing, acting bored and cool. They've said multiple times they're just waiting for the jyuubi to finish evolving and all the ninja antics going on are entertainment for the wait.

Well, Madara was kind of tied to the spot. And maybe maintaining that connection to Juubi makes him unable to use his other jutsu to defend? Oh, I dunno, just an educated guess.

- The 10-tails is still alive, it's still malevolent, and it's still the most powerful presence in the Narutoverse. Remember, it just survived one of its own tailed beast bombs exploding inside of itself.
- Madara has unlimited chakra and is living in an invincible body. He's not dead until he's sealed, and we're not sure if even that will work.
- Obito can use the alternate dimension to prevent himself from dying as well.
- Kishi has been talking about Tsukuyomi forever now. He's definitely going to show it at some point.
This battle is far from over. But it's been over a year (IRL) now since Naruto first butted heads with Obito, so I wish Kishi would hurry up with it. This fight has lasted for almost 10% of Naruto altogether, since chapter 1.

I love how Naruto used to be such a scrub, then all of a sudden "he's a specialist of transmitting chakra", but hey, seriously, HE FUCKING NEVER TRAINS.
NEVER.
Except the parts where "Hey I'll teach you a new technique", he never trains, but he's more powerful than everyone in the shinobi's world.
Makes total fucking sense.

I'd expect orochimaru's master plan to be as crafty as hell. I really don't expect him to face roll and bruteforce his way like how madara and obito does, but pull a very clever one on everyone.
It would be epic if he'd just swoop in with his small team after the war is over while everyone's relaxed lol

thats the same with everyone, Obito only used his space/time tech. the 4th only used his space time tech, Sasuke only throws around Chidoris, Oonoki only throws around dust technique e.t.c

I like this weeks chapter, the drawing of the allied forces forming a bird to represent Neji's will was really nice.
I guess Obito used his S/T technique to escape naruto's rasen shuriken? I didn't even notice it the first time reading through because at this point I assume that everybody is Edo Tensei but then I realized that Obito is still alive haha.

^LOL. We just take for granted that everyone's invincible and nothing matters. I like Naruto, but for some reason all the actual worry/suspense is gone by now. It's just like oh cool blow shit up. Wonder what's gonna happen next. Even when Obito finally dies, I'll just be like yeh, was gonna happen eventually..
