EPTHonestly, I don't think it matters want the hand holding symbolizes. I think Naruto is already "aware" enough of death in the battlefield from his adventures.

Also, is anyone else hoping for Sakura x Chouji? I feel like meatball + butch girl would go really well together. All in all though, I don't think the Hina x Naru pairing is out of left field though. It's been developing since the very beginning of the manga. Hina's always always had a crush on him. Why anyone is acting surprised about this is beyond me. | ||

How did Naruto's mother show up when her clan was outcast? How did Naruto's parents meet? How come Ino's mother doesn't seem to do anything? Why are there people in the village with no powers? Are they non-ninjas living in the village? Or are they children of ninjas who just have no talent? What clan does the ramen guy belong to? How do the clans reproduce their genetic abilities with a high degree of reliability? IMO, it's due to incestuous marriages, much like noble classes in ancient times would marry their siblings/relatives. But since this is a manga for children, the more unsavory aspects of eugenics and heredity are glossed over. It doesn't stop me from thinking about it, though, and wishing . | ||

Naruto's parents met in the ninja academy, they were in the same class, Minato saved her later on from people who wanted to steal the jinchuriki or something. Naruto's mother was brought to be the jinchuriki because of her DNA. The country she is from had a long-lasting friendship with Konoha - hence the swirl on the uniforms and headbands. Ino's mother works in the flower shop. I suspect people who are not ninjas are needed to make ramen, build houses, etc. so that the ninjas can fight because you know, they're soldiers. There is no high-level of reliability. According to the lore, many of the Hyuuga/Uchiha can't use their dojutsu at all. | ||

I am about 95% sure they are actually brother and sister, which would explain his initial aversion to her kiss earlier, their similar traits (besides body shape obviously), their long history... Even back then she called him "older brother." | ||

Ino's dad, Shikamuru's dad and some other random people were all killed instantly. Sasuke hasn't been seen since they revived Orochimaru and he handed him a secret scroll and asked him if he could help him with it, then they disappeared. Also all the kages are completely forgot about. Last we knew Tsunade was going to use the rest of her life force to save them all from death. | ||
