As far as critics go i think 20th century boys and monster are neck and neck with berserk. At least according to ANN and myanimelist. | ||

Also it doesnt go on and on without a sign of an end, right now its going to be the confrontation of the apostole of the east with griffith which will (a reference to the crusades and Saladin) that will lead Griffith to the trone to probably end up in the final confrontation of Gatzu and Griffith. | ||

You mean like how right now the confrontation of Naruto and Pain is going on which will lead Naruto to become hokage which will probably end up in the final confrontation of Sasuke and Naruto? I'm kidding. But to make the statement that Berserk has no close second (or even that it's #1) is a lot worse than calling the later chapters "random". | ||

The entire series is on youtube both dub and sub. All anime fans or those who just want to see a good story should see it, to me its a work of art. + Show Spoiler + the ending is quite fucked up, but note that its the end of the past that turned Gutts into what he is The manga, well some people love it to no end. I personally enjoyed the anime better because I feel they made the right cuts, cutting out really really dumb, unnecessary parts. If you must I can point it out to you but i won't. http://www.youtube.com/user/gftesg go to his videos then go to page 7. start with the black swordsmen then watch the videos to the "left" black swordsmen then band of the hawk etc. watch it when u have some time to burn, you won't regret it (unless you're weird) edit: claymore is also a great series in my opinion. No real great flaw that I can pick out of it. Sadly it is released only once a month now | ||

Berserk is my personal #1, Blade of the Immortal probably my #2. Nothing touches Berserk in terms of overall... everything for me though, so I guess we're on the same boat. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + I was soooooo pissed when he killed the Grandpa Toad  Also I noticed at the beginning of the chapter the narrator said "He [Pain] stole Kakashi." I didn't see that within the chapters, do you think he'll use Kakashi's body as one of his replacement bodies? | ||
