I mean come on... A sword that can repair itself with human blood? How many shinobi have had problems with their weapons breaking apart in all of the manga so far? Lammmeee. Quite common to have broken weapons when facing lightning enhanced blades 8)

Naruto broke that super sword with a rasengan in one of the arcs. Kakashi's father's blade broke in the Kakashi Gaiden. Zabuza's sword broken by Killer Bee. Naruto broke a bunch of Tendo Pain's spear-like black rods that he seemed to grow from him body. ... This is all the ones I can remember so far -_-;

But what I meant was that weapons seem to be so easily replaceable that that sorta power enchanted into a sword seems pretty lame and useless. I don't recall one instance when a broken weapon was detrimental in an outcome of a battle. The swords definitely doesn't live up to their hype. I hope some of the swordsmen do at least. Every sword is different ever so slightly, having a custom-made sword to your preferences would be a big plus in a battle. Now imagine that sword broke, you'd have to get a new one, and what do you do in the interim period? Sword-making takes a while, especially good ones. On top of that, though they are uber ninjas n shit, I can imagine that it's a hassle to get a replica of your original sword. This isn't Naruto: Blacksmith Chronicles. Although, it is pretty suspect that almost every uber weapon could be blocked with a simple kunai (except lightning charged ones lol). EDIT: If the swords are easily replaceable then why is Suigetsu so intent on collecting all those old swords? I don't think it's some foolish pursuit.

I think they just brought it back so they can go into mad stories when the time comes, like flashbacks that we don't know about from the 7 Swordsmen' perspective, in order to increase the amount of chapters Naruto can shit out before it sputters out. Considering they have been throwing in deus ex machinae since the mangekyo sharingan, this is actually better than a new super jutsu or something. Still pretty shitty though, because I doubt any story they develop about these swordsmen will be boring.

Bleach explains it away with some stupid deus ex machina (Aizen says, "Haha, it was all according to my plan for you to gradually fight stronger opponents, Ichigo! I'm so clever!"). One Piece explains it with the geographical structure of the main characters' path (they need to go from island to island, and the weakest pirates get weeded out at each step, so each island will logically have stronger competition than the previous one). Naruto, I believe, has failed to do this so far.

In this scenario, a lot of Kakashi's tools for beating Zabuza in the mist (sacrificing blood, using summonings, etc.) would not work this time because it's not 1v1. Kakashi is a baller and he went all out vs Zabuza. Hence Zabuza was and is a badass. Ah, those were the days. When the fights were epic and badass. ![]()

EDIT: http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Raiga_Kurosuki there, i remembered his name. EDIT 2: well, it seems that the seven swordsmen were not seven, or there is something really messed up since we don't know when those revived lived. i just find it weird to see some other guy, not raiga, wielding the sword named "Fang".

I think in the manga they said that there were multiple generations of "Seven Swordsmen" and this was the strongest one that got resurrected. It makes sense to me that each swordsman had a disciple and then passed the sword on to them. He can be written off as a different generation.
