i cant believe that the trigger for Vegeta to unleash his new power up was his promise with the other saiyan and no the chance to have Bulma, Trunks and Bra erased

Why didn't Vegeta just have this form at the start of the tournament? It's only as strong as Kaioken blue apparently so it wouldn't have impacted much. Instead he awakens to this new ''form'' in the most roundabout way.. I don't even. I could write an essay on ''stamina'' in this tournament but apparently a full power final flash + getting jobbed doesn't' mean anything in Super. Seriously I want to forget that ever happened just like the show does.

Regardless.. Goku's tactics were pretty impressive this episode (even more so if he would've used Kamehameha to destroy the rocks Jiren used to get back up). Frieza's swagger was very entertaining as well. Obviously the Peanut gallery's comments are terrible, but I get why they do it (for the kids that watch this show and to fill in time).

Zeno imitating Jiren was so good. There were a lot of filler episodes but things are starting to heat up

Whenever I see Zeno I'm reminded of someone's comment in this thread (LL maybe?) that Zeno is essentially us, the viewers, getting excited like little boys at nonsensical asspulls and whatever over-the-top scene is going on

Was thinking the same thing. They could have shown both Bulma/kids and U6 but no, we have to give relevance to the U6 characters so let's concentrate all of Vegeta's rage on that promise.

Then the power-up is not visually impressive, gets only so much screen-time, and doesn't do anything impressive that "your punch is sharper". And to add insult to the injury, it's done right next to Goku so the spotlight is shared.

Poor Vegeta...

PS : add also that the next two episodes will probably be the side-fights with few seconds here and there of the Jiren fight...

What I find funny is Gohan and Android 17 looking surprised after Toppo tanks a basic level Kamehameha. Like, Gohan, bruh, you're under performing again and you're gonna costs Piccolo another arm. Fucking go to Mystic SS2 and Let's role.

I don't think he's underperforming against Toppo. Toppo is Ssb level and we know that gohan is weaker than that.

We can all agree he's underperforming intellectually. He should have taken that 17-for-Toppo trade several times over, especially as the team's 'strategist' (cough). Granted a 4v1 would be anticlimactic, so Toppo has plot armor at the moment.

He can draw out more power, but he won't. Call it what you will, but gohan is back to frieza saga of almost useless. And since no one can die, only way he ascends to something resembling ssb, is if goku gets knocked out. Which we know won't happen. Gohan is the next to be eliminated followed by 17. Frieza takes toppo with him and then it's 2v1.

Yeah at first I thought he would have relevance in this tournament but even in the new ending when they put all U7 fighters they put gohan waay behind others as if to say "nah he's not important". Lets remember something, super is made primarly for kids, and Gohan has been lame all of super. I bet kids don't really like Gohan now because what's there to like? He became a lame character. Maybe he will awaken somewhat but there's no way he's going to be as relevant as he has in the Ceell and Buu arcs.

Gohan falling in relevance was sad to see. I loved his character and growth in DBZ but it feels like Super killed his potential. There was lots of hope with him going back to mystic levels but so far, it's been pretty disappointing. I really hope he gets a nice fight or two before this tournament is up. I want to see him kick ass, not be saved by Piccolo and 17 a lot of times!
