Also the animation and the direction were amazing and I especially loved that they showed bits of every fights and probably for the first time it actually looked like a real team tournament with every fight being meaningful. It really make me which they did a team tournament instead of doing a battle royal, it way easier to make it feel like team matters.
Also I wonder if Jiren lack of technique is gonna be a brought up latter, at first Hit saw through his counter pretty quick and now Vegeta to, probably not but still it would be cool.
Edit: also, and I am 90% sure I am thinking to much about this, I wonder after this episode and the one priors if Jiren thing isn't that he literally is always stronger then the one he fight, and by that I mean his power is proportionnal to his adversery. Vegeta states that he his weaker then when he was fighting UI Goku, and the U11 gods keep repeating that Jiren just can't be beaten, so maybe they mean he literally can never be overpower, he just adjust to the other power.
It would also give me an explecation of him getting out of Hit time prison by adapting to the time skip power, and not just "his power his so great it transcend time" which is one of the stupidest line in all of DB.
Nah I don't think Jirens power works that way. He's known as someone stronger than his god of destruction before hand and let out a tremendous amount of energy while Goku was still base form in their first fight. He just doesn't use his full power because he doesn't need to.

Tho the comment from the uni11 supreme kai is ridiculous "all these universes arent here because they're strong but because they do anything to survive" wtf that doesnt describe uni7 or 11. You would say that to universe who did the cheap tatics of ganging up on uni7 or trying to steal freiza or w/e underhanded tatics but uni7 has played by the book same with uni11 and they are without a doubt THE strongest universes rofl.
Thats literally why they are in the position they are in now, because jiren is just unbeatable and second is goku and co

Yeah that was really stupid commentary, Universe 7 is literally only there because they're strong. They overpowered any strategy the other Universes had with brute force. Not to mention, almost everyone who got eliminated was eliminated because they went after U7.
I mean there was a fair few instances of people saving each other from getting eliminated, but that's what you're supposed to do. Frieza is basically the only one willing to "do anything".

Great episode, but I think "The Wind" deserves a credit since it was the main character for the first 5 minutes

I was just writing it off as that being massive ki (remember the last time Jiren went to fight Goku, he made the entire World of Void quake). Then again, the dust in the background wasn't moving at all

Yeah I am very confused by this. Don't get me wrong, it was en excellent episode thus far. How is it that Goku cant take any of Jirens punches nor dodge them unless he is UI and then all of a sudden he is smiling and joking with Jiren in the midst of battle? Now common sense shows that Goku is infact getting stronger but jesus. Be a little realistic.

I think Jiren didn't meditate enough since last time. Vegeta specifically said he isn't as strong this time. I think he is basically able to meditate all the ki he needs and that's how he's above GoD. He's got this solid method down where his ki is basically limitless but it needs to be cranked each time.

I think Jiren was holding back more to be honest. He was having a chat with Goku (actually asking him a question) and didn't brutally dominate him like in the first fight. Then he fights off both Saiyans easy. Then he struggles with Vegeta. But then he tanks Vegeta's full power Final Flash taking no damage whatsoever.

it's 2 things.
Goku is learning to apply parts of ultra instinct in all forms, sure. but more importantly, jiren is fucking around. as Vegeta said "you are not as strong and fast as you was vs goku back then". he just didnt really try

True. Tanking what appeared to be an intended finisher, showing no hunt of effort...yeah. wtf jiren so op.
Also very interesting: the only universes in the ending credit are 6,7,11. Won't be surprised if they can only wish for some, not all of the universes. Or maybe they decide to keep the top 3 because of Kefla/Jiren/Goku

I"m just wondering when they will stop making scenes that literally copy (reference if you're feeling kind) Dragonball Z. The show is already predictable but even more so when it's literally a rehash. Vegeta's punch to the gut (intro of super Vegeta vs semi-perfect Cell) and the final flash's laughter, into failure-> shock-> getting oneshot (like vs Perfect Cell).

Hey Vegeta got 2 shotted by Cell (kicked into the air then elbowed in the back). But yeah there are lots of DBZ references. I was fine with the punch to the gut though because he dodged all of Jiren's punches to land it. I actually thought that was cool that for once Vegeta was able to study and react to an attack that Goku didn't.

There is a theory that Vegeta will get a new transformation that's different from UI and people support it by saying Vegeta is a proud Saiyan, and UI isn't a saiyan technique so he will go the saijyan route. With the precedent that others have gotten different transformations, Kale having the legendary one and Trunks the rage one, so there is a precedent that different saijans can achieve different forms.
I still don't think Vegetta will get a new form, at least not now

Another theory I've heard is that it is based on Super Saiyan Rose, because of the visual similarity. Though that is not necessarily a power-up. Hopefully it's something unique and impressive that will give Geets a meaningful chance to contribute to owning the buff grey blob.
