Its stupid because, the U6 sayians need to be as strong as shown to have these scenes of them fighting their way up ssj,ssj2, ssj3, god, blue because for some stupid ass reason the writers think thats cool when in reality it messes up everything. This tournament is like 48 mins long...all of this shit is happening in 48 minutes, its actually so unreasonable to have it like this they could have said 48 hours or something like that and it would be way more understanding (still bull shit tho) but they literally picked 48 mins like holy fuck.
Yeah goku's regaining of power is stupid, but he did receive a bit from frieza. I can understand regaining strength while still under athletic conditions its like if you're playing tennis you can slow down your own play to regain stamina you just dont over exert for every single point there could be a ball that you could return but it would require some burst of speed and maybe even leap, instead of doing that shit u just let it go by and save strength for the final set.
I think goku is kinda doing the same when fighting kale and califua, except he's taking hits...and going to ssj3...in other words fucken dumb.
The u6 sayians are absurdly strong and it makes no fucken sense how they can progress so fast outside of the fact that they want to show the shit we're seeing now. Both were fighting somewhat on par to goku's weakened ssj2 then they still werent instantly smashed by goku's god form...i think people are forgetting that beerus tapped goku's ssj3 form on the shoulder and he fucken nearly died, and goku's god form could go on par with a near fully powered beerus which means we're well pasted the tapping on the shoulder lvl of power. So either show kale and califua owning the shit out of goku's ssj2 and forcing him to go red so that the red fight makes some sense, instead we get kale and caflua slighting stornger than ssj2 and then god goku is slightly stronger than kale and caflua.
The fusion time doesnt even matter for kale and caulifa because when we see 10mins of vegito vs zamus its like an ep, when in this tournament its like 10mins is 10 eps so i dont think they will just split in the coming eps due to "fusion" timer running out. Theres no room for it because this tournament is 48 times LONG.
In the preview it shows that at least kefla is going to ssj, because there is no way in hell that they should be on the level of goku's god form even as a base fusion. But w/e i swear the writers are on crack and just trying to jam every cool thought they can think of into eps.
Also arent items banned in the tournament of power...
edit: i also wanted to mention that vegeta never hits ssj3...remember when bulma gets slapped and vegeta goes crazy mode, he no doubt had the power and potential to reach ssj3 and if its the fucken same back tingly shit as ssj then why hasnt he reached it, why didnt he gain ssj3 when fighting beerus? Because kale and caulifla are completely bullshit characters with power lvls that suit whatever scene the writters have dreamed up. The fact that they have base power lvls that are close to vegeta and goku and yet have never hit super saiyan in all those years of reaching their current power is ridiculous

It'd be amazing if the fusion ends up triggering Jiren and he blasts them out.
|
I feel like this tournament is a joke with a quote like this:
"I look forward to train you after the Tournament of Power" (Goku)
Isn't this supposed to be the tournament where universes get eliminated? Also, when are we going to see more Vegeta...
|
Wait for the manga to retcon everything.
|
I don't understand why right off the bat the paired universes dont join forces and then when everyone else is gone they duke it out with the promise of the winner reviving the loser.
Obviously Vegeta had a specific reason for U6 rez, but all the same.
|
Mehpisode. The only reasons I can think of as to why we're getting that nonsense instead of Toppo-Vegeta is 1. to sell moar Kefla toys and 2. show ZenOh doesn't mind Potara fusion ( Vegito Instinct anyone ? ).
But frankly, how could anyone get excited about yet another half an hour of SSJ2 on SSJ2 fight.
|
GOku in SSB was clueless against Berserk Kale; now Kale is even stronger and Goku held her off with just SSG...
Also Kafla was not even SSJ, how can a base fusion be at the level of Goku SSG... even Vegito had to turn immediatly SSJ to fight Buhaan (anime show him fight in base form but that's bullshit); man DBS could be so much more than that.
|
It is the first chapter in years that I just fast forward, in like 3 minutes I saw all the U6 Sayians bullshit, DBS is really really fucked up, just waiting for the final fighting vs Jiren, but with 21 minutes remaining of this disastrous tournament, we will see that in 2019.
PS: At this progression, in 5 minutes the U6 Sayians will be Super Mega Blue God 1000x Kaioken.
|
Don't think this counts as a spoiler, but for the people who are hating this arc you will have to wait until March of 2018 before it ends. There was an interview and it was stated in there that is when this arc ends. We'll find out some other Super news (and a potential movie) by the end of this year.
|
Like DBS in general, it has its good moments and its meh moments. They had better write in a non-stupid ending this time tho.
|
Power scaling has been thrown out since zamasu arc. I'm enjoying this arc tbh. Goku and Vegeta worked hard to get where they are now but I think It was implied that newer generation are stronger. Look at Gohan. Trunk went ssj just because it will help him in the gravity chamber. Hell even goten went ssj training with chichi. Don't forget U6 saiyans are different from U7 saiyans. This arc sets up really good future arcs in the future. Planet Sadal, Frieza's secret plan. Episode art was fucking good btw.

Disliked this latest ep quite a bit. It does so many things that are unnecessary and don't make sense. These 2 U6 saiyans see Goku get rekt by someone above GoD level, and decide the thing they have to do is also go after Goku. Why does their power scale so weirdly? Why does Goku have the strength to go SSG/SSB again? Why do those 2 even have the potara earrings to begin with, aren't items and weapons outlawed? Why is Goku able to beat back Kale in simple God form, when Blue was having trouble before? Mind you, I think it was bullshit in the first place that he couldn't beat Kale as Blue before, seeing as god ki is supposed to be involved. I just want to see consistency. This showed none. The only thing about this episode that was remotely correct was Goku holding his own against them when everyone was in their ordinary forms. He's been through too much shit to be on the same level as those 2.
|
That last episode pushed me beyond my ability to suspend disbelief any further.
|
This is to suspend your disbelief even further beyond! HAAAAAAAA!
|
And this... is to go... even further... beyond!!! SUSPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In other news, Blue KK x 10 happened in the dub this weekend. Sean Schemmel is fantuckingfastic at what he does

Too much Goku. Even though I know there's a 0% chance it happens, I'm actually hoping he gets eliminated.

Just my theory.

Its not like you would need anyone saying anything to understand 95% of what is going on... Probably these people that just put some numetal under it were right all along.

I'd love to see it ultimately come down to Frieza to save U7, and see how that situation gets navigated. Or, at least, any non-Goku making a wish with the Super Dragon Balls, since it'll just be "I wish back to life every universe and human related to this tournament" simplicity if Goku makes the wish.
