But it was weird to see Goku put an even fight in base form against a SSJ2, no matter how trained you are if the opponent is way faster and stronger (like Vegeta vs Cell, or Piccolo vs Freeza after 3rd form)... It was like going from base to SSJ2 didn't add that much power to Goku.

Feel like we could have at least got some good proxy rage through Vegeta on seeing Kale and Caulifa transform. Should have been some good elitism and sexism from him.

I was bored by this episode. Don't know why they made a huge deal about SSJ 3 when everybody already saw Goku going blue. It was weird that he went SSJ 3 when he got carried away. Isn't blue (or even red) more powerful and less stamina draining?

I dont think he got carried away. He is mostly doing some training with both of them and since they want to go SS3, they gave them a look at it.

I assume that seeing someone turn SSJ (or whatever next level) is just absurdly helpful in doing the same thing. It's a little weird that just experiencing another person do it makes so much of a difference, but I don't mind it.

This show is just so terrible I've stopped watching it. Just from reading these comments, Dragon Ball is no longer the great anime I used to watch where Nappa was killing people left and right and there was real desperation. Now you got bullshit like "believe in the power of love!" or "Son Goku I'm so mad because I'm a wimpy bitch!" Jesus Christ. Like Suits, I'm out. I don't really give a shit what happens anymore, life is too short to be spending half an hour each week tolerating this garbage.

I was pretty irritated by zen-oh for a while, but something about him casually erasing people and universes triggers some of that Nappa like nostalgia.
Ribrianne did feel like a market research firm's epically bad idea to appeal to more female viewers.
Overall I'm happy with the show so far, not "impressed" but they have time to wow me still.

I think its fair to say the shoe, particularly the ToP has been mediocre.
It has had great moments: Goku vs Jiren, Roshi episodes, Vegeta betrays Frost, frost erased.
It has had terrible moments: Every second Ribrianne appears, almost every second Gohan appears, Piccolo and tien have let us down, etc.
And it all averages to neither good nor bad, just mediocre.

Freeza betrayed Frost.
Gohan hasn't been given an opportunity to do anything.
Piccolo is staying close to Gohan so he doesn't have to exert much stamina/energy.power so when he's needed, he can be
full strength. Notice he hasn't really gone even near 50% yet of his power.
The thing we should be worried about is Vegeta being jobbed against Jiren.

I really want to see Vegeta explode by thinking of the possibility of losing bulma and is 2 child. A bit like he did when beerus hit bulma.

The manga is a bit better, but yeah, this is no longer quality anime/manga.
The god thing was hijack from the manga, tje!manga didn't state the "he absorbed god ki" god form remained a transformation and the anime decided to roll back to that. It seems that most of their decision don't really care for anything, it's just a "let's do this"
Toryama did write some holes and he himself admited forgotting details and just focusing on a great plot. And he achieced that. Super is not close

I wonder if Kefla will last the full hour. I mean they def aren't as powerful as Vegito who has like a 10 min limit because he is so powerful.
Seems like she is pretty powerful if that the episode title is any indication that the SSJ fusion beats Blue (tho obv weakened Blue).

Goku S2 was on par with the two of them. Then he went to God just to show off and kick their asses. Now their fusion of one SS2 and one SS1 should be kind of like Vegito from DBZ in power, or sightly above super boo level in power. That means Goku should still be able to kick their asses without even looking in SSG.
Like, even if you want to say Kale's SS is super strong and what not...Goku was dealing with her on SS2.... You can't jump from SS2->stronger than GoD.

If anything Goku being able to keep up is the bigger stretch. After barely being able to move to being able to get SSG mode after fighting? Goku gaining energy while fighting is basically plot armor as the Caulifa by herself should have been able to beat Goku as he was.
Goku was tapped out and injured but managed to reach SSG and stomp the Kale in Beserker form and SSJ2 Caulifa.
Goku is still exhausted so even if he is able to go Blue it makes sense that his power is still nerfed which is why he might lose.
Also reminder that Vegeta stated that Cabba's BASE FORM was on par with his own during the exhibition arc and Kale/Caulifa > Cabba. Not to mention Kale is an exception since they are doing the Legendary SS thing with her. Don't underestimate the U6 Sayians. They are strong but they just lack the knowledge of the transformations.
