Well, the capture of Dreyfus was there to introduce new characters and the ground of their skill, + releaving several info like Gowther's origin. Now Dreyfus is free again and demonstrating his power, and we get to more or less get what's the power of one of the other 10th. We've seen one commandment be a killing blow to anyone who fucks up, and one which incapacitated people. The second it became a 2v2, he might have made the call that it might be too dangerous to them either way.
