is this an ongoing story (like breaking bad or dexter) or each episode a new story?

I get the vibe its going to be an ongoing story but with the flexibility to have each episode be able to stand alone.

mhh, ok, let's see how it is then.. I normally don't like shows at all where each episode can stand on its own, an ongoing story is a lot better.

Also the reveal for the flying cars was stupid. MiB did a much better job of setting the tone of the entire movie, so it seems less of a jump of ridiculousness. In a over the top marvel universe where stark has better tech then we will in next 50+ years what they showed here is nothing. You are expecting stuff that will never happen in this show. Difference is stark is a very rich billionaire, no gov't agency would ever give their agents the money to modify their own cars into flying cars.

Oh, and Nick Fury had a flying car so it's perfectly consistent with the source material.

There are ways to introduce tech into the show without being over the top stupid. The tech itself isn't "ridiculous", but the way it's introduced is terrible. Look at all the science fiction movies/tv shows, almost all of them have done a much better job of pacing out introduction of tech.

I do not think that this show will be around very long. When watching the first episode, it reminded me on shows from the 90s I used to see. The characters do not seem that interesting, the first episode was generally not very exciting or taking. This series definitely aims at a an audience younger then 18 in my opinion. Also the 2 main chars seem to have a MIB relation ship, the younger and the older agent, the 2 tec guys are very cliche and for *the bus driver* no one knows why she is there and the new side kick is someone to provide insight from an outside perspective into shield and the random stuff that is going on in the universe.
The worst thing: They dont even have a super hero in their team qq !

Are we still arguing about the flying car?
Jesus ass-eating Christ, this is Marvel, supposedly one turbine of Iron Man's Mark 6 would be more expensive than to manufacture twenty of those cars.
It's a cool gimmick, get over it. Solid 6/10 show so far.

People are upset that there was a flying car in a show feeding off the popularity of a movie that had a flying invisible aircraft carrier? Admittedly I know nothing of Avengers/marvel lore, but I'm confused.
Edit: like above person said, lol.

wait... iirc, howard stark introduced the flying car in one of the iron man movies, and seeing as how the show made references to the avengers movie, isnt it perfectly fine to throw that cheeseball in at the end? ._. do not understand the problem here

Presumably, they argue, 70 years wouldn't suffice to manufacture this car in a way that would cut down the cost enough for an elite shield agent to afford.
This might be the nerdiest debate I've ever witnessed, and I read SC2-forums day in day out.

While I wasn't terribly impressed with the first episode, I wasn't disappointed either. We'll see how the rest of season 1 goes.

It think it's neat and really consistent that they were able to pick up the cheap actors from the recent Avengers movies.
