is this an ongoing story (like breaking bad or dexter) or each episode a new story?

I get the vibe its going to be an ongoing story but with the flexibility to have each episode be able to stand alone.
In Hearthstone we pray to RNGesus. When Yogg-Saron hits the field, RNGod gets to work

im guessing it will be a monster-of-the-week formula but with a season arc big bad

mhh, ok, let's see how it is then.. I normally don't like shows at all where each episode can stand on its own, an ongoing story is a lot better.

Also the reveal for the flying cars was stupid. MiB did a much better job of setting the tone of the entire movie, so it seems less of a jump of ridiculousness.

If you find this show bad, I would guess you also found Avengers bad because it did nothing better then this show, it only did it on a much larger scale. So I would guess this show is not for you

Avengers has actors who can act (well, some of them can), playing characters that people already know and that have been found some what interesting. This show just feels way too campy compared to Avengers... i mean Avengers has some cheesy shit aswell but it's of the kind that puts a smile on your face instead of facepalming out of embarrassment.

I stand by my words. Avengers is same "shit" on a larger scale. Your comment only means you don't really like comic books and only watched Avengers because of CGI.
This show is for comic book fans, simple as that.

Avengers had some pretty cringe worthy moments too. Capt America especially. Though majority wasn't so bad sinc en the cornyness was more well paced.

Also the tech reveal in the show was so bad. Literally the flying little robots didn't do anything that human eye's couldn't. Like finding a security camera.... and then they purposely wrote the plot so that the data was corrupt so they can add stupid technical babble from the geeky engineering dude and the girl, and make a 3d hologram of what happened. They literally added a dues ex machina to plot line, when it literally was not necessary.

Also, hacker who could do anything with a press of a button? Lol plz. That's so overplayed on tv, they're hackers not wizards.

It really does not matter. In a over the top marvel universe where stark has better tech then we will in next 50+ years what they showed here is nothing.
You are expecting stuff that will never happen in this show.

Difference is stark is a very rich billionaire, no gov't agency would ever give their agents the money to modify their own cars into flying cars.

We're talking about a universe where getting hit by a nuke can give you super strength. You're being silly.

Oh, and Nick Fury had a flying car so it's perfectly consistent with the source material.
That wasn't any act of God. That was an act of pure human fuckery.

There are ways to introduce tech into the show without being over the top stupid. The tech itself isn't "ridiculous", but the way it's introduced is terrible. Look at all the science fiction movies/tv shows, almost all of them have done a much better job of pacing out introduction of tech.

Nick Fury: Agent of Shield is what this show is based on. To not have the flying car would be dumb.

Also why is everyone so hung up on it? It was a last minute joke in the final 20 seconds of the show, wasn't really that cheesy compared to other shows out there.

I do not think that this show will be around very long.
When watching the first episode, it reminded me on shows from the 90s I used to see.
The characters do not seem that interesting, the first episode was generally not very exciting or taking.
This series definitely aims at a an audience younger then 18 in my opinion.
Also the 2 main chars seem to have a MIB relation ship, the younger and the older agent, the 2 tec guys are very cliche and for *the bus driver* no one knows why she is there and the new side kick is someone to provide insight from an outside perspective into shield and the random stuff that is going on in the universe.

The worst thing: They dont even have a super hero in their team qq !

Well placed cheeziness and comic relief is a good thing, just bundling it up and tossing it out every 10 seconds is bad.

Are we still arguing about the flying car?

Jesus ass-eating Christ, this is Marvel, supposedly one turbine of Iron Man's Mark 6 would be more expensive than to manufacture twenty of those cars.

It's a cool gimmick, get over it.
Solid 6/10 show so far.

People are upset that there was a flying car in a show feeding off the popularity of a movie that had a flying invisible aircraft carrier? Admittedly I know nothing of Avengers/marvel lore, but I'm confused.

Edit: like above person said, lol.

wait... iirc, howard stark introduced the flying car in one of the iron man movies, and seeing as how the show made references to the avengers movie, isnt it perfectly fine to throw that cheeseball in at the end? ._. do not understand the problem here
You can type "StarCraft" with just your left hand.

Oh, and Nick Fury had a flying car so it's perfectly consistent with the source material.

nick fury was also white, your point?

There are ways to introduce tech into the show without being over the top stupid. The tech itself isn't "ridiculous", but the way it's introduced is terrible. Look at all the science fiction movies/tv shows, almost all of them have done a much better job of pacing out introduction of tech.

Nick Fury: Agent of Shield is what this show is based on. To not have the flying car would be dumb.

Also why is everyone so hung up on it? It was a last minute joke in the final 20 seconds of the show, wasn't really that cheesy compared to other shows out there.

Well placed cheeziness and comic relief is a good thing, just bundling it up and tossing it out every 10 seconds is bad.

Aside from the twins in their all of like 8 minutes of airtime, what was cheesy comic relief?

Twins? I thought they were banging. Oo

wait... iirc, howard stark introduced the flying car in one of the iron man movies, and seeing as how the show made references to the avengers movie, isnt it perfectly fine to throw that cheeseball in at the end? ._. do not understand the problem here

Presumably, they argue, 70 years wouldn't suffice to manufacture this car in a way that would cut down the cost enough for an elite shield agent to afford.

This might be the nerdiest debate I've ever witnessed, and I read SC2-forums day in day out.

While I wasn't terribly impressed with the first episode, I wasn't disappointed either. We'll see how the rest of season 1 goes.
Abstracts, the too long didn't read of the educated world.

It think it's neat and really consistent that they were able to pick up the cheap actors from the recent Avengers movies.
