Its a comic/superhero tv show, superpowers n shit are always fitted to the story, much like storm strooper markmanship or expert James bond markmanship.

Watch the avengers, heroes like Thor are scaled down so that heroes like Black Widow are actually useful.

For some reason I'm finding it harder and harder to tune in every week for this show. I think it was somewhere in the first inhuman arc late S2, but the show's just gone way downhill IMO. I might be unpopular in this but I've hated Skye since the beginning and her superpowers are just really grating to me now. What's wrong with being a super cool hacker?

I agree except the hate Skye part. I always adored Skye, but she is less interesting this season.

Ward needs to go. He's been way too lucky escaping so far, to where I'm not really buying it. He and agent 33 lose to a tortured Bobbi but he always escapes. It just doesn't add up; it says "we're keeping him because he's eye-candy."

It is also really hard to tell how powerful Hydra is; as someone said last page, it does look like a joke right now. I'm also curious what happened to the Hub. Shouldn't the U.S. government be using it, or is it just a hub for squatters atm.

I dunno if you saw Ant-Man and Civil War, but the dude that Ward met is a big freaking deal, and if he's going to back New Hydra, then they will become a serious threat.

Not to mention the ATCU is about to set up a massive betrayal.

Skye has always been the best character on this show! Show is fantastic this season and the pacing has been great not dragging out storylines. Show has just gotten better and better since season 1. I want my comicbook shows full with super powers and not too much realistic stuff, so introducing inhumans has been the best thing to happen to this show.

I have never read much of the comics but are they going way left field with the 100 generations of Hydra thing? I understand hydra is like this never ending "Foot Clan" type enemy that will always be around but something about how they tied everything up last episode doesn't sit right with me.

Not to my knowledge, but it would be really easy to take any number of "ancient secret societies" from the comics that are too obscure or pointless and just mix them in with MCU Hydra.

On IMDB forums people quoted that this history is from the comics. Well at least the part about Hydra being ancient, I think show added the inhuman part.

Any of the comic fans around here know what Inhuman could be the one they are talking about? I am sure that this one will be from the comics, the invented characters so far were always minor characters.

I liked this last bit of twisting and I'm still enjoying the show a lot.

Ward just feels a little directionless at the moment though. Now he has a boss above him I guess he's just going to go back to being a right-hand man but we're being really simplified back to it being Shield vs. Hydra (unless the ATCU thing was a double play). I still like his arc though and the completely beyond-redemption thing is really refreshing in a show.

double fake-out with Coulson in this episode and the end of last episode. I kind of thought it'd end up being him falling for ATCU lady and her stabbing him in the back to HYDRA, but they flipped that early in the episode and I thought it worked.

Apparently the root of all evil must be Hydra. Not sure if it's more annoying that we can't have proper spy vs spy conflict with nuances, or that everything always has to be Hydra related.

Also yay for more Superpowers that involve pointing hands at things. Knew this would happen with TV special effects budgets and increase in Supers, but goddamn can TV writers stop treating "hand-wavy magic" literally?

On the plus side, now we know that the Iron Chef guy really is super human.

Don't really know much of the comic material, but browsing a wiki, The Unspoken sounds like a good candidate.

Yeah... I really hate how everything goes back to Hydra. I hope we'll get a new antagonist for S4.

Ward is starting to remind me of Sylar(Heroes after S1) at this point.

Spoilers including midseason finale "Maveth" ahead:

Ward needs to be done after his latest resurgent form is defeated. Unless they could actually make his character not eye-roll inducing by always getting away, giving his little pep talks about how he respects people for fighting back; it's very tired material.

Coulson--are they trying to make him all creepy and semi-evil so he can be redeemed later by his love for Skye or whatever? For awhile, I thought, and hoped, that Ward really was dead, and the alien would infest Coulson instead, not that I wanted that to happen to Coulson, but it really would have meant the end of Ward. You could also see that coming a mile away, though I wasn't expecting a parasitic worm reminiscent of an X-Files episode.

The evil thing is a sandstorm that lost to Fitz. I mean, I was cheering for Fitz, but this big bad is really responsible for the death of the planet's civilization? I'm not sold on it or on Andrew/Lash. Is Lash killing inhumans to deny the other bad guy's army? It's weird, and sprawling.

Additional thought: don't normal military ships or planes ready their missiles way before they need to fire, as well as test them? The portal was down to ~60 seconds and they decided it was a good idea to start aiming the missiles.

Continuing spoilers.

So I got that the worm thing lost to Fitz because I guess it was controlling a broken Human body and so had the limitations of that that. But did we actually see a person before when we spotted the monster back in the last planet episode. The thing that was scary and dangerous. What happened there?

This is the first episode for me in a while that really hammed it up and was a bit too silly and plot-holey for me to really enjoy.

In the planet episode Jemma saw something in an Astronaut suit. I think most people assumed it was an illusion or something, but it's likely now that it was using one of the "NASA" bodies from Wills expedition.

Was still pretty lame for a "World Destroyer".

the real question is if ward is "just" big bad evil for the season finale or if he survives for the inhuman movie. b/c "tremors" and small thor are eye candy enough to be on the big screen. mr. "gay but not hiding my 'powers'" any more also seems possible.

So from what I've been hearing that alien thing is actually somewhat close to this thing. So all those dead inhumans will probably be coming back with a bit more power.
