Not if they thought through this and didn't want jemma to get pregnant there. I can imagine she thought about that and used alternative methods, unreliable indeed, to stay out of pregnancy. I mean... Giving birth there is probably not a good idea...
But that is if we search for credibility, and again, that is a sci-fi show..

i actually have grown to despise jemma's character. it first started when i noticed they were opting for the emma watson stereotype from harry potter, it was OK at first but this girl is a liability and needs to die off and fast.
but if i were to be honest here, my god does her behavior sicken me. i'm just going to address the elephant in the room, but HOW DO YOU NOT GIVE THE GUY WHO OPENED A PORTAL AND SAVED YOU, A LAY? not only did he suffer brain damage AFTER sacrificing himself the first time due to oxygen deprivation to the brain, he had to suffer being ridiculed and isolated because he couldn't even form a proper sentence or thought in recovery which seemed at the time, to be permanent. He not only came back from that, to eventually save you AGAIN, AND gave you a phone that lasted a month, you go and give it up to a dude who chains you up and feeds you like a dog? and you shun him on the first date just to tell him you want him to support you in going back to save the dude who fuked your girl? fitz has every right to leave this guy to fuk death. the dude saved you twice and got brain damage....i know nice guys finish last but holy shit this is some new level of crazy.
i'm not a misogynist i'm really not, but either marvel writers are geniuses and know how to portray similar behavior of people in reality or i'm crazy. they hit the nail right on the head of an unfaithful psychopathic woman in the 21st century. i love how they also show jemma choosing her new found lay over her memories of her family (using her phone) but this girl i hate more than sylar from break bad. if i were fitz, i'd choose jumping into that alien world alone than to live in a world filled with people like jemma, isolation at least, retains his dignity.

I'm beginning to wonder if Fitz sees being generally nice to Gemma as something more than a means of obtaining sex. It's almost like women aren't machines where you insert nice deeds and receive sex. If they keep this up I'll start to wonder if she has motivations and needs beyond simply being a prize for the doers of manly heroism. And I'm against that.

I think you are overthinking this. This is a typical friend zone story where hot chick ignores the great nerd and goes for the jock type but it is wrapped in a different package.
Kind of like GoT with Jorah and Deny relationship although that one had a Martin twist with "the nerd" being a old guy wanting an underage girl lol.

I reflected a little more on saocyn's post.
Yeah, it's great that women have predominantly been portrayed as prizes in games, movies and so forth aimed at men for as long as they've been around. That way a plot that predominantly features manly men doing manly men things without involving any kind of story or arc for women can still have sex in it without us needing to do a no-homo fistbump as we jack each other off. It can go "man man man man man man sex with woman man man" and we get all the man stuff we like like gun fights and car chases while still seeing tits. And that's great. But it's not actually real. That's not how it actually works, that's a thing the people made up because the original ending of Mario where Mario and Luigi fuck each other on Bowser's dead body wasn't as popular as having Princess Peach kiss Mario. And every time a man takes the movies and games seriously and rapes a woman because he bought her dinner so he thought she owed him that fantasy of "man man man man man man sex with woman man man" gets eroded. And when the feminists come to take it away because people like you, saocyn, cannot be trusted to tell the difference between fantasy and reality then we're all going to blame you.
I mean your post is literally complaining that not only Gemma, in fiction, isn't dispensing sex in the way your fantasy believes she should but also that actual women in the 21st Century are also not dispensing sex in the way your fantasy believes they should. You know that reality isn't conforming to the fantasy, that's a big part of your complaint, and yet rather than conclude that the fantasy is just a fantasy, which is what all us sane people do, you conclude that women in reality are wrong. It's insane. You're actually expressing real anger at reality, and particularly at women, for not being more like movies. You got told by Nintendo that if you killed Bowser then Princess Peach would automatically kiss you and for some reason that has become your normal so that when actual women respond differently you think the women are broken.
When all we're left with Mario assfucking Luigi on Bowser's shell I'll know exactly who to hold accountable. You're going to ruin this for the rest of us.

The only thing I'm wondering about is Will himself. Did he go insane or his colleagues? Could the creature be one of his former colleagues?
He seemed levelheaded around Jemma and they spent quite some time together without any ill effect.
Poor Fitz though. Goes through everything and hell to get Jemma back, only to find out she was teleported to the one planet where a Bruce Willis was camping out and fell in love with him. Can't blame her for that (she could've been there forever) but it sucks for Fitz.
The way I see it: Option A: Fitz helps Jemma get Will back, Fitz & Jemma stay with SHIELD and Will moves on. Option B: Will turns out to be evil, Fitz/SHIELD has to jump in at the last second. Option C: Similar to A, but Will either joins SHIELD or Jemma goes with him and leaves SHIELD.
+ Show Spoiler +Also, props to the guy who called out Andrew being Lash. Only question is, will May arrive in time to save Linken, since I'm getting the feeling Lash and Linken are going to meet just as May arrives.

Well I don't think this is spolier tag worthy but I looked pretty close at the documents that Fitz looked at and it was stating something about Will being a scientist. So there is something wonky about Jemma's story or Will is a liar and probably not such a good dude.

slow down there white knight on high horse. i'm not the one here who's frustrated and feel the need to use metaphors of sexualizing Nintendo characters. the fact you skewed your examples so far off of reality, makes me think you've never even gotten out of your house or can't even rationalize human nature without fictional child hood characters. "you've reflected on my post" no you've attempted to judge me based on your narrow views of life and frustrations with your child hood that's what you did. typical PC warrior of the 21st century attempting to logically assume moral high ground because of political correctness. you were immediately in the wrong when you attempted to rationalize emotional behavior through a logical lens. you are by no means fighting for human rights when you continually put women on a pedestal, you can fight for the side of "feminist" while i fight for the side of human equality.
here's the bottom line, i won't even attempt to address the stupidity of the rest of your post, as it's not even worth a read when your only metaphors are nintendo characters. This is a TV show, i'm allowed to rant about my interpretation on the matter of any relationship within it i want, i am allowed to choose whatever side i wish to root for, for whatever purpose i desire, because it is........a FANTASY. i don't need to rationalize my beliefs to you, a person who is incompetent. nor will i succumb to peer pressure and change my beliefs and views simply because it doesn't accommodate to your PC views of reality. I am not a sheep like you, i don't feel the need to filter my language and be manipulative in an informal setting, for i have nothing to prove. at the end of the day i am not the one bullying people into believing or changing their view of reality, you sir on the other hand are the angry one. please do not ever respond to me again or ever address me in another post, i do not wish to associate with people like you.
but because you seem to be so dense, i'll explain the scenario to you. if anyone was guilty of gender hate, it was jemma. fitz yes is heroic, and his actions tend to be more so heroic because he likes this girl. this is blatantly clear. you speak of heroism for heroism as some sort of altruism, when everyone has some form of an agenda to why they pursue such feats. But you refuse to see anything outside of your skewed reality of the relationship. the show has shown indication of such behavior and motivation, that everyone has a hidden desire, agenda for why they chose to do what they do. you understand nothing about the brain and mind, as the brain has 3 main hemispheres of thought, we are not only governed by merely the frontal cortex or the logical hemisphere, survival and emotion predate the frontal cortex.
fitz mustered up and told her he liked her prior to imminent death. she proceeded to kiss him multiple times in the submerged escape pod, reciprocating his interest in her or maybe you forgot this? it is not fitz's fault for assuming where they left off. this girl at any point could have simply told him i'm not interested BUT she continued to lead him on as if he was a pawn to be used. emotionally manipulating him into helping her retrieve a love interest. did she have to go on a date and dinner with fitz? absolutely not she could have turned him down. did she have to kiss him? absolutely not. does fitz have to waste his time assuming he has a chance with this girl? no, but she lead him on the whole way. just as she does not have to have sex with him, FITZ does NOT have to help anyone especially not someone she's associated with for whatever reason he desires. only your narrow views assumes that it is the man's job to be held up to heroism for altruistic purposes rather than see that jemma should be held up to those same standards.
only morons like you assume sex is something only MEN want, and that women can do no wrong. but both parties enjoy it EQUALLY if consensual. just because a man demonstrates his desire for a woman does not mean he hates women. it doesn't seem to occur to the majority here that it is natural for you to desire some merely for meaningless sex.

While saocyn's posts are entirely emotionally and english impaired, there is a roughly shaped point that I agree with.
The Fitz/Simmons shit needs its plug pulled soon. It's the absolute typical side-romance plot that consumes airtime with zero plot relevance, and it's lasting for the entire series.
Kill one of them or make it known that it will never happen. Or, heaven forbid, let them hook up and have it last 'till the series finale and stop pretending their romantic dramedy is more important than the spies and supers.

I don't have a clue how saocyn is not banned yet lol. He could have said what he said without insults.

Now, on to the episode: the writing for Sky/Daisy/Tremors and her relationship with Coulson is getting on my nerves. It is completely unbelievable and pointless drama that she no longer trusts Coulson, when that was basically the entirety of their relationship for the first 2 series, and he did nothing at any point to make that stop. I can see Mack not trusting Coulson, that made some sense, but Daisy has seen him as the father she never had. And her actual parents turning out to be a crazy psychopath and a traumatized lunatic seem like stupid reasons to turn AWAY from Coulson. Leaving the flinter thin reason of "Coulson being madly in love with Rosalyn". So while Daisy going after the ACTU makes sense, she continuously jumps the gun on Coulson's position, which is getting pretty irritating.

How did he stab her? He did that for her.

Which makes her outrage at seeing him watch the ATCU keep Inhumans captive 100% consistent with his actions.
And to be fair, that's exactly what he did do, just with a little more nuance. He basically just smiles and nods while he's being told that Inhumans need to be put in comas while they're experimented on for cures. And he obviously has an overly emotional attachment to Rosalind.
Daisy may be overreacting, but Coulson and the ATCU are still acting much, much closer to her accusations than the opposite.
|
Eh, but then you consider that the ATCU aren't dissecting and experimenting on anybody and seem to have every intention of releasing everyone once they're stable. Their heart is in the right place, but it hearkens back to that god awful X3 movie where some just may not want to be "cured".

Which, frankly, you shouldn't, because there is exactly one Inhuman with perfect control who had a completely normal life as a doctor, and they ruined the rest of his life by chasing after him guns blazing, and plastering his face everywhere and telling the world he was a deadly Alien menace.
