I feel like modern Em tries to fit too many syllables into bars sometimes, but you can tell the technical talent is still there. The last verse in Believe really improved the song tbh. Great beat too. I also like River In other news, I was reminded by YouTube how good Year of the Ox are. Korean-American rap duo. + Show Spoiler + "i've been hired to take the beat and I beat it up properly when they see me they see beef and the brocolli but when they hear me they hear the big Pac in me they hear hip hop in me, oh the hypocrisy" + Show Spoiler + "I want to force feed my lyrics, transformed form of a beast Cooked like Raekwon and like Szechuan, gourmet to beef" Their multi-syllabic rhymes are pretty impressive.

Give him a listen and let me know what you think? Also, soundcloud AllttA. They're a French duo I think. Oh yea, Omar LinX is legit. Cowboy, Jackie Boy, Little Moment, You and I, are really good. His style of pessimistic, grim, flows on those songs are great.

Don't Nobody Want None + Show Spoiler + Dream Junkies Get A Bar Bandwagon + Show Spoiler + Beat's more stripped down, but I thought it was also pretty fun. (Three different rappers)

It's got Childish Gambino putting some trap on, some great dance moves, some imagery and a great video concept. Everything is great except the bolded; I don't really get the appeal of trap. The actual rap in trap sounds so stilted and cut up and tends towards repetitious, and then there's all the auto-tune... I don't know. I don't get the entire sub-genre.

Try giving it a fair shake. It's got some alright rappers. Metro Boomin is a very good producer. I liked Childish Gambino doing some trap because he put an interesting spin on it, whereas the genre is normally pretty boring lyrically and metaphorically.

Don't know if anybody likes XXXTentacion here. Butheard the news pretty early today since I'm from the area. Broward County-based rapper XXXTentacion, who rose to fame while posting raps online from his bedroom, was shot to death Monday in Deerfield Beach. The 20-year-old Parkland resident, whose given name was Jahseh Onfroy, was shopping for a motorcycle when two gunmen ran up to his black BMW and at least one of them fired, said Keyla Concepcion, a spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff’s Office. The motive appears to be a robbery and the suspects fled in a dark-colored SUV, Concepcion said. Onfroy was in the driver’s seat when he was shot just before 4 p.m. at 3671 N. Dixie Highway in Deerfield Beach, the site of RIVA Motorsports. He was taken to Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

I don't even care if he puts out a real album I'd buy 12 straight diss tracks. In damn near old form if you ask me. Full disclosure, it upsets me that Eminem is top 5 in the game, but truth is truth.

Really recommended to watch and fully understand how shitty hip hop has become today.

As for establishing what is valuable and fit to represent it, having a rich flow of worthwhile rhymes on a dope beat will always matter more than anything else, no matter the trends, news and what any number of non-conformists tell or do different.

Lol hes kind of a hypocrite, Hip hop was never intended to be respectful, Or give a fuck what anyone else thinks. It's Da Art of Storytelling, the culture, it's meant to give a voice to those who don't originally have one.
