I'm not sure I follow the plot too well. Who's the bald guy, Elvin, already? One of the top-class officers of the army (not the scouting legion nor the military police, the third, biggest one) whose help they're trying to enlist because of good relationships? He mentioned he'd join them as a recruit so he wouldn't bring his men with him.

Also is it just me or is it kinda hard to follow the story? I mean ok the government is evil and just thinks of themselves and their status and uses their power to shut down everything "innovative" but is this really something new? What is the reason to take them away now? The only difference i see right now is the knowledge of the "voice" or "coordinate"(same thing i guess).
So lets say they succeed and Historia becomes queen or something like that what would change then? By the looks of it the survey corps does whatever it wants anyway.

The blond guy (I'm no good with names, chapters come out too slowly for me to remember everyone x_x) said that being summoned to the capital and meeting the officials was what cemented his opinion. Before that, he was like Elwin: "sure, the government does shady stuff, but it's all to protect us from the titans in the end, they have our best interests at end" (when they discuss "gov knows more than us, they'd use Eren's control power better, why not hand him over then?"), but that meeting made him realise that the higher-ups don't want to protect humanity/the kingdom as much as they want to protect their own position and privileges.

Obviously nothing says that the kingdom didn't start nicely and didn't drift into its current situation over time as people in power grew accustomed to their perks and comfort; and nothing ensures that it won't repeat in a few years/decades if the revolution succeeds. But the characters, if they are aware of that, seem to think that it's still worth putting an end to the current situation and starting again from a sane base (given the manga's tone, it probably won't last anyway but that'd be more of an epilogue thing).

So, who exactly is Ymir working for?

Why is Historia protected by at least one Titan faction?

I personally like the approach to get into more "human vs human" things. I find the titans rather boring over time especially the human ones. Eren is the worst character by far and the "world" with the wall and the idea of keeping something in or keeping something out is far more interesting.

What i am a bit worried about is that the king isnt really introduced at all. Is there even a rememberal civilian? It is mostly military guys we have seen this far.

I thought it was pretty clever how they made the other guy pretend to abandon the first tortured guy in order to get him to spill the beans.

Also I liked how the part about how Armin was saying how they are not the good guys anymore.

Some of you seem to forget, that the Reiss family probaly is one of the Titanfractions or is at least close to one of those. The armoured and huge titan forgot their real names. Seemed to be in one of the Rebellios titanfractions. In the end the coupetat gonna end up in some wierd titan fights.
