She's like a reverse-break out character, a Jeigan from fire emblem (ever since Eren could transform), a reliable weapon with little and predictable personality.

I hope they make her a running gag in the anime. I don't remember any more of her antics in the anime, though.

Yeah, but there are a lot of reasonable ways they could have appeared in-universe (aliens, deep sea monsters, wrath of god, demons, cthulhu) plus the history they teach does not seem to be particularly exact.
Lookey here. There's an Attack on Titan fangame. I thought it would be bad, like how people tried to turn Quidditch into an actual video game, but the challenge of climbing these titans looks kind of fun.
wow anime managed to make everything clearer (love that position map whenever the camera cut to different teams) and i got the chill from watching the female titan lol
and yes, for those who didnt read manga, i'd say just wait and see when you found out who is this female titan....goddamn...this manga/anime is too good.
and i think the anime gave away too many obvious hints >_>
I think the same hints are in the manga as the anime just the fact that it's animated with color and they linger longer on the hints makes it more obvious. When I read the manga I just breezed threw the chapters as fast as I could and ended up past the big reveals.

haha that's a good game XD Got a couple of titan kills on the big ones :D
Wow I can't believe how the anime completely destroyed the subtlety on the identities of the human titans. They make it painfully obvious as to what's going on while in the manga the mystery really takes a while to ramp up.

Are the hints in the anime really that obvious? I started out by watching the anime, and each time there was a twist, my mind was blown. I caught up on the manga yesterday, and what I really like about the series is that I couldn't see the twists coming, but in retrospect, they make sense/have pretty clear clues.

How many twists have there even BEEN in the anime so far? Eren = titan...that's about the only one I can think of that's really been revealed.
Sorry, what I meant to say is that if I wasn't caught up to the manga, I never would have guessed the identity of the female/armored/behemoth titan purely because of the hints given in the anime.

I do like the subtle animation frame where you can clearly see Reiner giving off vapour after 'escaping' from Annie though.
After they discussed where Eren was probably located in the formation, I loved how Reiner purposely revealed his face on the anime to get caught by Annie (Titan form) to inform her about Eren's location (we don't actually see this happening but...). Then Armin noticed she switched directions toward the center of the formation.

SPOILER ALERT
"Shingeki no Kyojin - Manga - Page 24"
I also feel like the anime is giving away hints too easy, but I still enjoyed how they did this episode.. how many episodes will this season have?
The thing with anime is that, they force your attention to what's going on the screen much more than manga. We're usually trained to catch onto huge camera shifts in the anime, while not everyone pays attention to every little detail in the manga, especially if it's just a frame or two.
Also note that it takes someone about 5 minutes to read through a chapter of the manga, but you're forced to pay attention to that information stretched out for 20 minutes, things are going to feel more obvious.
That, and that you're already aware of the information if you read the manga so you know what you're looking for.
