Perfect. | ||

This isn't a spoiler-free thread dude. In the very first post of the thread it clearly says in bold letters: In this thread we discuss the new episodes, every new episode airs Thursday 10.00 PM EST. I highly recommend not looking at the last few pages of the thread until you've seen the latest episode, for obvious reasons.

Perfect. Show should have ended when Mike said "I'm a fraud". It should have cut out right there. The reactions made no sense whatsoever, the sex was just for ogling, and Rachel should have been horrified that Mike is living her dream without any of the proper education. Plus, Rachel's been an on-and-off bimbo who constantly holds a grudge against Mike, so she's clearly going to be pissed at him for this. I don't see how they're going to have a "successful" relationship. As far as the rest of the episode was concerned... I just felt like Harvey was the bad guy the whole time, as the merger seemed to be for the overall benefit of the firm, and it seemed good that he lost (especially since he had to resort to crossing some lines). I wonder if Scotty will come work at their firm, rather than the one in London. I hope so.

There was nothing that Harvey did that didnt completely fall in line with his charcter. The only thing that made no sense to me was Raechels reaciton. I guess maybe she was just happy that he wasnt married or something.

On the other hand, Jessica's character gives off the impression of a Greek God with those powerful stance these days. It was a long overdue to further develop Gina Torres. Overally speaking, this episode's ending was even a weaker way to go into break time than the last time with Hardman takeover. Yuck

And wow was that way too corny to write out, but I'm pretty sure that's what the writers were going for. The character of Rachel isn't been ruined or written into one of an insufferable sap. In theory, now it's team Mike + Rachel vs the world instead of Mike alone. Really, it was bound to happen sooner or later and the fact that they waited until the season 2 finale isn't the worst thing the writers could have done. As others have said, the stage is set quite nicely for an entertaining third season with all the loose ends hanging everywhere: What did Harvey decide about Scotty? Will Darby actually accede to his wish? Did Nigel keep Louis on his list or not? What happens when Louis presumably sends Rachel's letter to Harvard anyway? How do Jessica and Harvey go forward from here and in what fashion? And are Harvey and Mike able to go back to how things were or will that be different as well, especially once Harvey figures out he told Rachel the secret?

This season was starting to get to be a pain in the ass honestly... I was getting sick of every episode being an all out war... hopefully this summer will be more like the first season in some regards.

I will be interested to see if he comes clean or somehow pretends he went somewhere else. I caught that too. I'm curious if it'll salvage any respect she has for him, as Pearson-Hardman is pretty much Harvard-or-nothing anyway... going to a different law school might be just as useless in her eyes as going to no law school, although the former lie may convince her to apply to other colleges anyway if she thinks she can still get into Pearson afterwards. Yeah I'm hoping it's less of an internal breakdown and that we see more relationships actually grow and fight good external battles together. It was kind of nice to see Louis and Harvey work together for a whole two seconds too, since they were both vulnerable.

She was a strong girl with pride but after that scene, that image is completely ruined for her and Mike will never reach into Harvey level as Harvey would have moved on from the girl long time ago. Yuck Harvey is fairly terrible with women in general but remember how he basically lost his mind about 4 episodes ago after Zoe left him. Donna did manage to help calm him down but remember he basically clearly hadnt moved on in 5 years.

"I wasn't accepted at Harvard Law, sob sob sob." "I don't want anyone else's name on the door, just mine, or my life is worthless, and I'll destroy whatever I need to do it." I burst out laughing when Mike gets all all super serious, ready to bare his soul and his darkest secrets, and the words he actually utters are: "I never went to Harvard." It makes for good drama but it'd nice to have a character on the show with some perspective, even if all they do is look bemused at everyone around them for a second.
