The thing I don't get is why photos like that would be on her phone because you'd think the photos were taken quite a number of years back... She is Donna and expected this conversation to occur because she is Donna and knows how people think.

-God damn the lights are dimmed, every character is dressed in black, the wacky guitar music has been replaced with sad dexter piano, mike is in jail... -The firm being in danger card has been played 100 times, the Louis fucks up and redeems himself and Harvey goes too hard on him then apologizes thing has been done 100 times. -The twists are insane and forced, Mike being in jail writes itself but instead there's an evil man in there that hates Harvey and coincidentally has a squad and guards in his pocket. -Donna is a complete cartoon character who is always right and always knows everything Still gonna watch it until it burns to the ground though, just like with dexter ![]()

We knew it was going to happen eventually; I'm looking forward to seeing how they pull themselves out of this mess and what the next story arc is after the Mike-in-prison arc is over. Also, Donna has always been super clever... if anything, the past few seasons have shown us occasional vulnerability and flaws from her.

Me too; I've been wanting Harvey and Mike back in action as buddies outsmarting people and winning cases (independent and unrelated to firm drama) for a few seasons now.

I think that's what a lot of people want. But honestly, with where the show is at right now, how could they possibly go back to that? I'm pretty sure Suits will have to end soon. I don't see how they can bring back the old dynamic without awkwardly forcing it through some weird, messed up plot that doesn't even make sense.

Yeah I'm not really sure either. The only way out I can think of offhand is for next season to spring forward a few years, where Mike has actually gone to law school and received a real degree, thus allowing him to legitimately practice law. Because as far as I can tell right now, even after he gets out of prison, PSL can't hire him back and he won't unethically practice law anymore (that's what was psychologically tearing him apart in the first place, leading him to want to go to jail as penance).

I don't really look forward to 2/4 episodes of having Mike pondering what he should do. Then have him suck up to his cellmate, and in the end screw him over. But in the end we all know Mike will get out of prison.

For reference, I think Mike was in i-banking for 6 episodes, to the point that he was fired by Sidwell. You could call it 8 episodes to the point that he starts work again at the firm, depending on how you see his unemployment. IMO most people still call themselves by their profession so a normal person would still call themselves an investment banker, although it is mentioned in his case for collusion that Mike doesn't try to apply for any jobs except at Pearson Specter. Fun fact - he has technically never applied for any jobs in the series, people just give him offers (even in jail!). I wish things were so easy... He's been in jail for 3 episodes so far. There are 5 more episodes on the schedule before the mid-season break, with season 6 likely to continue in January.
