Koon has the item he got from shooting the most people with light bullets and its some sort of an invulnerability barrier, resurrection item or things like that. And we have a winner! Apart from that this chapter in fact was pretty meh.

As a further note, if I remember correctly, the thorn was glowing blue/was blue earlier even though it was somewhat bandaged. It is said that that shinsoo glows red when Enryu is near. Just something I read on batoto somewhere.

As you may recall, SIU was to have a wrist check up in Seoul, and it was expected this would result in a one-week break.

Now it's just ludicrous plotlines one after the other with contrived drama everywhere. Now that I think about it I felt the same way for Legend of Korra between seasons 1 and 2. The former honestly felt pretty mature in how it handled things and the latter felt like... just a cartoon I guess. Maybe it's just me though.

Not every plot was solved by powering up. Even the stuff about powering up kinda made sense. It took him so many goddamn chapters to learn Rasengan so his character developed so much during that time and now it's just "talk to big bad wolf for new powerup". Same with Baam now. He was a big weakling who had to rely on his friends and allies to help him, even if he earned that trust by himself. Now after the time-skip he just happens to be a beast who can solve problems by straight up fighting. Well done.

He's stronger because he had potential beforehand, but now it's been honed somewhat (although still not enough to beat Reflejo for example, as he's still an E-rank regular).

Baam's skills after the Timeline skip weren't really surprising considering how the Manhwa was always pointing out he was an extremely gifted individual.I'm actually glad the author skipped the Baam powering up and learning new skills chapters that 99% of mangas do and got straight to the Point and continued the story.

Plot-wise, complaints are more valid, but the power-up was hardly contrived.
