I don't think Baam will be using the thorn in its real capacity anytime soon. He might draw a little of its power though. It'll probably serve to level the playing field, given that he's injured, rather than give him an advantage v. Mad Dog/Beta.

I like many things about the manga, so I hope this doesn't turn into one of those dbz-like mangas, which there are already so many of. The fact is that there will be a moment where they have to level up hard, since they are miles behind the level of rankers for exemple. In DBZ, it's a succession of stronger boss that appear from nowhere, in ToG it's a fact that all the Baam's company are real scrub compared to the top dog of the tower.

That's fair, but some manga deal better with the issue than others. What my main frustration is is that it can take over the manga, and the manga loses something that originally made it so attractive. Eventually it's all about the power of the characters, not about their personalities, goals, or about a bigger storyline. One Piece, for example, stays very interesting to me, despite the focus being strenght : there is just a ton of stuff going on besides the fights. Earlier, someone mentioned that he was glad the tests were over, and we got to the meaty part : the fighting. While I do enjoy a fight every now and then, I want my manga to be about more than just fighting. Take for example Hajime no ippo : it's literally all about fighting, but the reason I like it is because it is mixed with comedy. And I think this manhwa can do it too : despite there being powerful monsters at the top of the tower, there is still attention being spent towards the tests, and a ton of other characters that all have potentially interesting backstories. In the original dragon ball, we had characters like oolong, bulma and master roshi who were, compared to Goku, pretty weak, but still played an important role in the series. Going into DBZ, they lost more and more of their importance because it was all about how powerful the characters were, and that is also where the series lost the magic for me. That wasen't the only thing that changed, but there was an obvious switch of focus, and for me that was a bit disappointing. I just don't want that to happen to ToG. There are plenty of examples of manga that did it right, and that did it wrong.

There was just a little exposition on Beta. But who cares about him. :3 Yihwa ftw. Well she is FUG, he is supposed to be their "God". That's what they've been training him for all along.

Her betrayal of Baam and her supposed deception of her team is really making it hard to have any sympathy for her.

Personally I am a fan of killing off a few characters every now and then, but I thought we still had to see the potential wangnan had. He's supposed to become the prince, isn't he? That's why I have a hard time believing he'll disappear.

Unless it's like a reverse-reverse thing, and Mad Dog really does not like FUG for what they did to him, there's no excuse for his inaction. Hope Rak and Yihwa close in on Beta and falcon punch him back to floor 1.
