Kubera is not worth the read. I dragged myself through the first few chapters and read up to chapter ~100. It doesnt get better. If you dont like it at the start, you wont like the rest either.

I'll give it a try for some more chapters then and decide from it, thanks.

Perfect boyfriend/husband, they have the same hobby, throwing Baam into a pit to his death.

Eh comon. Bad for beta? Sure, sucks to be him.
Making Baam suffer (who is also a product only) makes no sense at all, thou.

Kubera has an interesting overarching plot combined with a pretty good background story, but the main character(s) themselves range from exasperating to infuriating. Also, the art is not all that great.
The best fantasy/adventure type manhwa I've run across thus far has got to be Magician. It's just so much more coherent than the others, and it has superior quality art.

Shin Angyo Onshi is a pretty good manhwa too

Wow, things just got crazy T__T

Past Chapter 50 at least... before that I had a really hard time getting past how he drew the kids (so damn ugly....)

I'll give Black Behemoth a try. Up to now, Kubera is the only non-ToG Manhwa I've found interesting enough to get into.
|
Kubera is fantastic. Personally I don't know which one I look forward to more, ToG or Kubera. I do feel though that there's something about it that really makes it a "love it or hate it" type of story so it may not be for everyone.

Knight's run is a really good manhwa too. But it's not for every1, since it's really hard to comprehend everything going on in the manhwa.

*see subcribed threads* oooh tower of god has 15 new replys hahah yes probably some nice discussion...all but 2 posts have nothing do with tog.... :/ dream killers...just as bad as lahel

Latest two chapters of Kubera are among the coolest manga chapters I've ever read. Magician has good art in the later portions, but at the start the art is so bad it's literally painful to read.
OT: This chapter was dope as fuck

The latest chapters of Kubera are passable only because they do not involve the main characters. I actually like the charm of some of the earlier Magician art (after the first big style change to look like paintings). It wasn't as clean, but I've never read any other work that had its style.
About ToG: I would like to see to see some of the cloud of non-FUG characters surrounding Baam die and/or otherwise disappear. It would reintroduce the the feeling of danger/suspense that has been largely absent from the series for a long time, and it would help with ToG's main problem: a swarm of puddle-deep sideshow characters who constantly tag along but are never developed.

Idk I think pretty much all main characters in Kubera are fine except for Leez herself, but it's pretty clear that she's more of a viewpoint than the actual main character (that'll change soon though), with Asha and Yuta being the actual main characters so far.
Don't get me wrong, all the characters are cliché as hell, but I don't by any means think they're unbearable.
I'll wait until next chapter to really judge this chapter of ToG (though it was dope) to see where the plot leads, but I do agree with the side characters stuff. We haven't had a good death in ages.

Realllllllly wondering who the Travellers are and what their connection to Emile is and why Beta hates Baam and what everyone is going to do in reaction to the shit that is going down with Baam now.
SHIT IS MOVING TOO SLOW I'M IMPATIENT.
