I don't feel like you need to have a logical reason to like or dislike something. Liking something is emotional, not rational. Every logical reason you have to dislike something is either a rationalisation of the dislike you already have, or a materialisation of a more general dislike that applies to this specific thing. For example, most people like chocolate because its sweet. But that is not a logical reason to like it, since it only sends the problem one step further. There is not logical reason to like sweet things. I, for example, don't really like milk chocolate. Noone i know has died on chocolate ever, and i also have not had any negative experiences with it. I have no logical reason not to like it. I also don't hate it, i just don't really like it. Dark chocolate, now that is a different thing. That i like. Why? No reason. I just like the taste more. Does this mean that i have some mental problem? I don't think so. Also, if i suddenly logically came to the conclusion that milk chocolate is better, this would still not make me like it. So basically, my point is that you can't control what you like or dislike, and it is especially not a rational, logical decision. Even if you decide to dislike something you like because you think it would be wrong to like it, you can't really dislike it by decision. You can choose not to act upon that like, and even tell everyone that you dont like it, but that still does not make you dislike it. This also means that it is wrong to judge someone upon what they like or dislike, because there is no ulterior motive or conscient decision involved here. The thing you can and should judge is actions. I find it really strange that there are so many people here arguing that something is wrong with you if you like some TV-Show. Just because you enjoy a show about murder does not mean that you enjoy murder, and just because you like a show about girly ponies does not mean....I don't even know what that should mean, honestly. That you are a creepy guy that hangs around playgrounds? Anyway, it does not mean that, or any other absurd exaggerated pseudo-psychological conclusion you might come to. I think it might make more sense if you replace dislike with hate. I do 'not like' a lot of things. Which is perfectly normal. There are so many things in the world it is impossible to like everything. However if people go out of their way to actually hate something and make sure everyone knows they hate it and want you to hate it too, it is often becuause of some personal issues / emotional baggage (apparently 'it' triggers something). I.e. homo-bashing priests that turn out to be gay themselves come to mind.

We could just call them the target demographic. :d

This is our revenge for them stealing Vampires from us. There is no justification for that, and everything that follows is their own fault.

As for the transformers, as far as I'm conserned they can have the movies ( not the oldschool series though :| ), as it is basicly some glorified love flick with explosions.

This whole thing got me thinking, and i have come to the conclusion that horses in general, and as a result ponies in special are a divine birthright of grown males. Just think about it, for ages grown men used horses to pull their carts, and to ride to war with. Granted, that were mostly no ponies, but i think the Scots, which are pretty manly men in general, used ponies for these endeavours. But through some devious plot, during the last demicentury horses got viewed as more and more girlish. We can not take this any longer, we need to reclaim what is rightfully ours.

Notice it spells "Pe-gah-zai" instead of "Pe-gah-ssis"(no, I don't know how you write spelling properly). ========================== Allright, to any MLP Fan. If you consider yourself a fan, a brony, a pegassis, it doesn't matter. Read this fanfic http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/07/story-past-sins.html Description: On a dark night filled with even darker magics, an insane cult attempts to give Nightmare Moon a body and life of her own, utterly separate from Princess Luna. But, when the spell is interrupted by Celestia, something unexpected is created. Now, an little black alicorn filly named Nyx finds herself living under the care of Twilight Sparkle, only to be haunted by memories and emotions from her past. Is the filly Nightmare Moon reborn or is she simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of her own? Can Twilight Sparkle protect Nyx from those refuse to see past her dragon eyes and black coat? Or, will Nyx be forced to inherit the sins that may not even be hers and become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known? 21 chapters, 500(+-) pages, the most amazing story, exceeding any possible expectations a fan-made story would have, and deserving a movie of its own in my opinion. Well, that's in my opinion. Honestly, I haven't been so thrilled about a story since Harry Potter. And I do believe this one is even better. Mind the spelling mistakes on the last three chapters, it was just released and will probably be revised in the near future ![]()

I.e. homo-bashing priests that turn out to be gay themselves come to mind. Yeah, DisneylandSC got the essence of what I was trying to bring out. If you hate something that is not founded in something inherently bad (for lack of a better word, but I mean something that should be disliked such as sewage), it's because you choose to hate it. You must have a reason to hate something. No one will buy 3 identical bags of flour and hate the second bag for no logical reason other than they hate it. If you go out of your way to hate something, then there is obviously some characteristic vested in it such that you find reason to dislike something otherwise seen as acceptable or good, or you find some aversion to it which prevents you from liking it. When you don't like something, but you don't hate it, you're neutral. That means you can take any stance you want on it, and it matters not either way. As I said before, enjoying chocolate can be scientifically proven by monitoring the brain's release of endorphins or whatever. Hating something can also be measured scientifically (I don't know how exactly, but MRI and other examinations can display some form of brain activity linked to negative thoughts if you are presented with something you hate). But this is an aside; you must hate for a reason. On the other hand, "hating" something illogically is exactly that, not able to be scientifically proven, and with no logical/emotional aversion to something there's no reason to hate it. I think we should all agree that like/dislike is subjective and can be analyzed many ways. Just don't hate something you have no reason to hate.
