No seriously, it was hilarious.
Derpy with regular maximum derp, Fluttershy in a tree suit, RD caring, all the pegasi (I LOVED the design of the space pegasus with the constellation cutie mark).
p.s. Spotted a Rainbow Dash cheerful at MLG! Wonder if that was from our guys, couldn't read the text.

very enjoyable episode, 10/10 again, is s2 seriously this amazing or am I just too easily pleased? good for me either way

rock BG music and pretty awesome animations all-throughout, and some nice cartoon-y stuff again like RD crashing into a tree with only her eyes getting onto the other side of it
RD being portrayed in a positive way for the first time in s2, hell it was about time
Spitfire not helping them, just standing there, what
Fluttershy just skyrocketed up on my list of the mane cast

Episode thoughts:
+ Show Spoiler +The episode was okay. The training montage and the Fluttershy solo scenes were great, but the overall episode as a whole fell kind of flat for me. I did like the letter to the princess at the end; it's a good lesson to learn.

Problem unique to me: the physics was just so badly done that I had to look away while it was airing and just listen. Fluid does not work like that.
Dialogue OK. Montages went on for a bit long. Background music disappointing. Animation great as usual.

Obviously the 10/10s are coming from the "Fluttershy can do no wrong" demographic. This was one of the least entertaining episodes this season.

Whats weird is I rate this episode 10/10 yet FS is my least favorite of the Mane 6. I like it... because I enjoyed it and now RD is my favorite pony :D

That was actually really, really good, even with the "Fluttershy formula".
+ Show Spoiler +I find myself really enjoying these new "3D" shots (e.g., the staring eyes, the montage end dandelions).
The only thing I would've liked to see handled differently was Flutts suddenly gaining way more extra power on top of her 2.3 instead of actually inspiring the others into giving a little more of theirs by just trying really hard. I feel "Just do your best. You can make a difference, but only if your best is good enough." wasn't quite what they were going for.

You say that as if the fan base were a single entity. For every thing out there there's someone for whom it's their favorite. It's not uncommon for an episode to be praised by one and disinterest another, only for the next ep to reverse the scene. The more impacted just tend to be more vocal and up-front about their feelings, so they're what make their way into your observations.

I'm sure you mean to be the voice of reason, but why should we? Most of us here have nothing to do with the production of the show or any similar work, and thus do little with full audience feedback, and sure aren't trying to make a career as a professional critic. So why is it you think we ought to?
